2013 Marks Invitatio..

December 2012
Dear Colleague,
If January is a time when there are no leaves on the trees and the ground is perpetually
covered with snow, then come and find some relief in Pensacola, Florida. At the very least
you will be able to enjoy the breezy shores of the Gulf of Mexico without actually having to
travel to Mexico.
Aside from an excuse to pay a visit to the 52 miles of white sand beaches that line the
coast of Pensacola, UWF will proudly play host to the Marks Invitational tournament. On
behalf of the UWF Forensics Program, you are cordially invited to attend this year’s
tournament, which will feature all eleven individual events (NFA + POI), 3 preliminary
rounds of IE competition (varsity & novice), and parliamentary debate. Additionally, we will,
as always, feature a Q & A examination period in all preliminary and elimination rounds of
Rhetorical Criticism in the hope of broadening the analytic discussion connected to each
speech.
If you live north of [30° 25' N/87° 13' W] then we can assure that the weather will be a
pleasant change for you during your visit. We hope that you plan on joining us for the
tournament. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Drew Stewart
