Late Work
This is a workshop-model class. Students use the Chromebooks to
compose their writing assignments and have class time to do so. I
specify a time when they must be finished with a final draft and then I
evaluate that draft online.
Absent Work
•Make up work within one week of return
•Information and handouts posted on Advanced Writing Google
Calendar which I have shared with the students.
Rewrites--may revise any
major assignment that has earned a
grade of C- or higher

Ask your student specific
questions about what he/she
is reading.
Encourage extra reading at
home.
Help proofread essays; the
more eyes on the essay the
better.
Encourage your student to
grade his or her paper with
the rubric.
Encourage students to use
the Literacy Center.
