Online Tutoring
You will find everything you need here to make your
online tutoring experience a success.
If you haven’t already, please call the Learning Center
office at (334) 244-3470 to reserve your tutoring
time.
Remember to send your paper on the day/time
scheduled when you made your appointment.
Please allow 48 hours for your paper to be returned to
you.
You will email your document and any other relevant
files to lc.isl@aum.edu. Be sure all of your attached
documents are saved as Microsoft Word
documents. In the email message you send, please
include the following information:
Your name & S-Number:
Class:
Instructor:
Assignment details:
Due Date:
Areas you’d like us to focus on:
Specific questions you might have:

Your tutor will reattach your paper and save it
with the word response at the end of the file
name. The message area of your tutor’s email
to you will highlight your strengths and
weaknesses, refer you to your paper for more
detailed comments, and possibly recommend
that you schedule additional tutoring

sure you take note of the reminders in your
paper about documentation and pronounantecedent agreement.

If you do not see the editing balloons when you
open your document, choose the “show” tab
above your document and be sure you have
check marked “comments.” You will find
additional general comments at the end of your
document. Your tutor will focus primarily on
the higher order issues such as your thesis and
organization and will not correct every grammar
or spelling error.
