1.
Grade 6 Spanish Planned Course – A presentation will be made regarding this newly
proposed planned course which continues the progression of Elementary World
Language programming at the Middle School. (*)
2.
K-5 Science Planned Courses – The findings of the K-5 Science Committee and final
documents to support proposed K-5 Science courses will be presented. (*)
3.
Senior Trip – Walt Disney World – The High School Principal will present a proposal
for the class of 2016 to participate in the annual Senior trip in April 2016. (*)
4.
Educational Trips – The Superintendent will discuss recommended changes to Policy
204, and ask the Committee for input regarding educational trips and student absences.

1.
Ed Hoffman (TRANSPORTATION) will participate in the PA School Bus Association
Safe Driving Competition on June 26 and 27, 2015 in State College, PA. Approximate
cost: $366.00.

C. Flaherty, T. Latini, L. Ferguson, M. Fucich, S. Creighton, K. Soleau, S. Smith, M.
Bair, S. Merrill (PS) and D. Cassidy (ADMIN) will attend Wilson Fundations Level 1
Workshop on July 28, 2015 at the MCIU and S. Thomas will attend Wilson Fundations
Level K Workshop on August 3, 2015 in Saddle Brook, NJ to learn about this
intervention program. Approximate cost: $2,545.00 (Title I and IDEA funds).

John Grande (MS) as a member of the PSMLA (Pennsylvania State Modern Language
Association) Executive Council (ExCo) (October 16 and 17, 2015), Jenny Lehman
(ADMIN), Joseph Waters, Michael Bair (IS), Ashley Kontostergios (IS/HS) and Amy
Tallman as presenters (October 16 only), Theresa Hepner, Sarah Fleming (HS), Yvonne
Leistrum, Sandy Bakey, and Stefanie Cramer (MS/HS) (October 17 only) will attend
PSMLA’s Fall Conference 2015 - “Forging a Future: A Language (R)evolution” in
King of Prussia, PA to learn about recent updates in world language standards, best
practices related to instruction and assessment and to facilitate professional learning
sessions. Approximate cost: $2,053.00.

Dina Cassidy, Jenny Lehman (June 29 through July 1, 2015), Robert Milrod (June 29
only) (ADMIN), Joseph Waters and Michael Bair (June 29 and 30 only) will attend
PDE’s 2015 Multi-tiered Systems of Support (MSTT)-RtII Implementers’ Forum at
PaTTAN Harrisburg to learn about models of effective implementation of RtII.
Approximate cost: $1,083.00 (Title I funds).

Shane Cross (ADMIN) will attend National Institute for School Leadership (NISL)
Course #1 - World Class Schooling: Vision and Goals of the Principals’ Induction
Program on: July 28 and 29, 2015 at Chester County IU, October 6 and 7, 2015 and
November 17 and 18, 2015 at PaTTAN King of Prussia, and December 16 and 17, 2015
at Bucks County IU. No cost to District.

Ian Carder (ADMIN) will attend Google Admin Console Technical Retreat on June 18,
2015 at MCIU to learn how to configure the Google Apps Admin Console for a school
environment to manage users, groups, services and Chromebooks. Additionally,
participants will explore use of third party services which will protect and secure our
domain. Approximate cost: $199.00.

Ernest Rehr (HS) will attend Advanced Placement European History Summer Institute
(APSI) from July 6 through 10, 2015 at MCIU to learn the most current information on
the redesigned curriculum changes to the AP European History course and best
practices to teach the AP European History content. Approximate cost: $925.00.

Aaron Lowman (HS) will attend Advanced Placement Psychology Summer Institute
(APSI) from July 13 through 17, 2015 at MCIU to learn the most current information on
the redesigned curriculum changes to the AP Psychology course and best practices to
teach the AP Psychology content. Approximate cost: $925.00.
9.
John Grande (MS) and Theresa Hepner (HS) will attend the 36th Annual National
FETC 2016 Education Technology Conference from January 13 through 15, 2016 in
Orlando, Florida to present “Using a Blended Learning Environment to Engage the 21st
Century Learner”. Cost to be funded by EMC Publishing, Inc.

Contracts & Agreements
1.
Approval requested for a contract with Glenn Nobel to provide CPR/AED training on
district property to eleven (11) Upper Moreland School District staff on August 26,
2015 (district professional learning day) at a cost of $70.00 per participant. (*)
