Annual Mum Sales
Order forms are available after masses in the main lobby for our
annual MUM sales. There will be someone at the table to take
your orders and money, and/or to answer any questions. Pick up
for orders will be on Sept. 29th, from 3 – 5 pm, and Sun, Sept.
30, 10 am – 1pm. As before, the proceeds benefit all our
ministries. THANKS to all the youth, families and individuals who
are helping this be such a success once again!
New Mass Musical Setting
Beginning next weekend, we will start to use another musical
setting for the parts of the Mass (the Sing Praise and
Thanksgiving Mass by Michael Joncas). Our musicians and choirs
will introduce us to this over several weeks. Indeed, we continue
to expand our participation in the new translation, etc.
Catholics Come Home
Unite with us in prayer and invitation as we seek to reach out to
all people in welcome! The Archdiocese is offering some TV ads
over the next month or two encouraging folks to “Come Home”
who have been away (if you are able to donate towards these
ads, feel free to use one of the envelopes in the poster box in the
lobbies for this). We, in turn, are also offering opportunities here
for folks to seek answers to their questions and to renew their
faith life through our upcoming annual “God, Wine and Cheese”
adult faith formation series. And, in a few months there will also
be some materials available to all parishioners to “Rediscover
Catholicism”. More information will continue to be shared about
all this as we move forward.
Interested in getting to know the Catholic Church
If you, or someone you know, is interested in joining or getting
to know more about, the Catholic Church, consider joining the
RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation) Process, beginning in October.
Sessions are on Thursday evenings. If you want to sign up, or if
you have questions, just call me at the Office.
