Clubs and Organizations
Registration and payment for all programs can be
processed at any City of Laurel facility during regular
business hours. Checks should be made payable to
the Mayor and City Council of Laurel

The City of Laurel Department of Parks and
Recreation Division of Senior Services provide
recreational leisure opportunities at multiple
locations within the City of Laurel. We are here to
serve seniors fifty-five and older as well as
disabled adults. Please call 301-776-6168 with
questions and to get more information.
CMRT (Connect-A-Ride)
Senior/disabled discount 10-ride passes can be
purchased at the Laurel Armory for $7.85 each.
CMRT will provide you with schedules and
answer any questions; call 1-800-270-9553 or on

Seasoned Adults Growing Educationally
SAGE is sponsored by Prince George’s
Community College and offers many classes
designed just for seniors. Class schedules
coincide with the college schedule. For more
information email SAGE@pgcc.edu or call

a brochure at the Laurel Armory or the RJDCC.

Inclement Weather Policy
The City of Laurel Senior Van Service follows
Prince George’s County School closings and
delays. All appointments previously scheduled
during the delayed time period are automatically
cancelled and not rescheduled. Please call 301776-6168 for more details.
American History w/ Vince
Look, listen and learn while discussing details of
America’s history on Fridays at 12:30 p.m. at the
Laurel Armory.
Healthy Living-Light Aerobics w/ Bev
This moderate paced class offers information
and techniques in a fun loving rhythm designed
to increase flexibility, tighten and tone the body
on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 9:00
am in the Laurel Armory Gym.

Cherry Blossoms, DC

Bring a bag lunch and enjoy the blossoms on
your own. Park Rangers will give free tours on
the history and the varieties of cherry trees.

require additional transportation to and
from the drop off point, please register
as a van rider with the department. The
fee is $25 for the year for curb to curb
transportation within the city. Another
option is to pay the $3.00 pick up &
return per trip fee. This will get you to
the RJDCC and home again.

given. All refund checks will come via mail from
the City of Laurel.

Pageant of the Tsars, DC

The 400th anniversary of the founding of the
Romanov dynasty is being celebrated at the
Hillwood Estate Museum & Gardens. This
special exhibition highlights four lavish albums
and imperial treasures created to commemorate

Barbara Brown’s Line Dancing
Class is on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:30
a.m. at the Laurel Armory. This fast paced dance
class is a fun and exciting way to exercise for a
low cost of $35.00 per person, per session.

Seniors “N” Motion & Wandering Walkers
Please join us at the RJDCC to continue walking
around the gym on Tuesdays and Thursdays

Westminster Presbyterian Church presents the
blues on Mondays. The Blues is a tradition that

The Newseum offers visitors an experience that
blends five centuries of news history with up-tothe-second technology & hands-on exhibits. Dine

Free Basic Line Dancing Class
Dance with us on Fridays at 9:30 a.m. in the
RJDCC. This free beginner’s line dance class is
