For ages the perception of a classic getaway vacation has consisted of sitting at
the pool all day and going out to eat every night. While that’s all fine and dandy,
you really don’t need to fly anywhere for that as your local community certainly
has a pool and some nice restaurants.
If you are going to travel, why not go somewhere thrilling and bold? Somewhere
that encapsulates the awe of mother nature to her highest potential. Somewhere
where one can seemingly escape reality in a place where anything is possible.
So book your very own comprehensive and affordable trip with Tropic Wonder
today, and you too can Taste the Rainforest ©!

Seasonal Information
Always rainy but there are “dry seasons” where there is less rain and “rainy
seasons” where there is more rain.
Best time to go is right after the rainy season because the foliage will be at its
most beautiful.
There will also be more time to take in the scenery before the next dry season.
Unique Features

“The World's Largest Pharmacy” Is a source of over a quarter of all the world’s
medicines

The tropical rainforest has hundreds of different types of trees living there.

There are over 2,500 different vine species in the tropical rainforest. Some
have a thickness that equals the circumference of a human being.

Tropical rainforests are one of the oldest biomes on Earth and therefore have
a great variety of animals living there.

Rainforests provide people with many cooking spices such as vanilla, allspice,
and black pepper.
Plant Adaptation
Plant leaves include drip tips which allow rain to runoff plant without damaging
the plant. Also prevents mold, bacteria, and fungi from growing on the plant.
Animal Adaptation
Some monkeys have evolved to cuddle together to stay warm.
Tourism Activities



Environmental Issue: Clearcutting

Farmers slash and burn large areas of forest every year to create grazing and
crop lands, but the forest’s nutrient-poor soil often renders the land ill-suited
for agriculture, and within a year or two, the farmers move on.

Clearcutting is a serious and threatening issue to the existence of rainforests,
for this reason Tropic Wonder donates a portion of profits towards countering
clear cutting campaigns and replanting trees.
List of minor drawbacks to rainforest travel

Man-eating piranhas

Risk of running into various violent guerrilla rebel organizations.

Possible torrential downpour during rainy seasons that can lead to flooding.

Possibly contracting serious illnesses like malaria or yellow fever.
ALL IN ALL A VERY SAFE TRIP AND NOTHING MAJOR TO WORRY ABOUT
Thank you for considering Tropic Wonder!
