DSS – Spiritual Enlightenment
Shah Mastana ji Maharaj
Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj
Saint Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan
Dera Sacha Sauda is a spiritual activity by which God is worshipped
under the guidance of Satguru. This path of God realization has been
coming down ages since the earliest times. Many saints and seers
incarnated in this mortal world and inspired us to do this Sacha Sauda
and became the guiding lights of spirituality. These saints and seers
were knowers of this supreme science and tried to make this mystical
subject easy for the common man. One such torchbearer of spirituality
was Beparwah Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj who did the most noble of
services to mankind by establishing in1948 the spiritual college of Dera
Sacha Sauda in order to save people from the complexities,
malpractices and superficial rituals that had been afflicting religion
and for the salvation of souls.
In 1960, Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj transformed his body of five
elements into that of Param Pita Shah Satnam Singh Ji Maharaj; or in
other words the same Divine Light now began to work for the salvation
of humankind in Shah Satnam Singh Ji Maharaj’s body. Shah Satnam
Singh Ji Maharaj fulfilled this responsibility with great faith and took
good care of the garden of devotees that HIS Holiness Guru had
planted. Under the loving care of Param Pitaji, this garden flourished
greatly and today it has begun to spread its fragrance to the whole of
society.
HIS Holiness taught people who had wandered away from their paths
the true meaning of life and living until the year 1991.
After that, HIS Holiness chose Hazur Pita Saint Gurmeet Ram
Rahim Singh Ji Insan as his successor in order that the devotees
could be served and protected; meaning to say that the Divine Spirit in
the form of Hazur Pitaji again started taking care of Its souls. Today
Dera Sacha Sauda is making progress in leaps and bounds. The number
of its devotees has reached crores. Also, under the holy leadership of
Sant Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan, Dera Sacha Sauda has
become an incomparably effective social service organisation. This
organisation that has transformed lakhs and lakhs of homes that had
become hells, into heavens, has created many a record in the field of
social service under the holy leadership of Hazur Pitaji.
Providing water, food, clothes, etc. to the needy; reconnecting with
society the tribals of Rajasthan who had been cut off from it and had
been living the uncivilized life of our early ancestors, adorning them
with the ornament of education, and assimilating them into civilized
society; teaching people who were caught in the quagmire of drugs and
crime the true purpose of their lives and reabsorbing them into
mainstream society; reaching people who had lost their everything in
natural disasters, wiping their tears, and doing everything possible to
rehabilitate them in spite of the dangers and discomforts involved in
such relief activities; organising blood donation camps at regular
intervals to supply blood to the ailing (for which the organisation holds
two world records for the maximum units of blood donated in a day);
organising free medical treatment camps in villages and cities from
time to time; helping girls from poor families to marry; constructing
houses for the homeless; and helping provide education for poor yet
talented children are some of the many welfare activities that Dera
Sacha Sauda is carrying out with untiring zeal.
Under the holy leadership of Hazur Pitaji, Dera Sacha Sauda in such a
short period of time has accomplished as many tasks of human welfare
as would have normally taken ages.
St.MSG Glorious International School
Our Inspiration Our most respected Saint Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan has
established the Saint MSG Glorious International School near Shah
Satnam Ji Dham, Sirsa, where students are nurtured with latest
international education which is a composite blend of Indian cultural
values and world’s best practice. Whole administrative and teaching
staff bow and pay heartiest regards in the pious lotus feet of His
Holiness for such a magnanimous act.
School’s Background
Saint Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji lnsan has founded this oasis of
knowledge and compassion in the times of all pervading selfishness.
Saint MSG Glorious International School nurtures the citizens of
tomorrow by imparting holistic education and does not merely churn out
academic automatons.
Founded in 2009, the tall majestic building, St. MSG Glorious
International School, Senior Secondary, situated in the vicinity of
Dera Sacha Sauda, is an outcome of the persistent efforts of a great
visionary, St.Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan . The School imbibes
the true human values with emphasis on a progressive system of
education among its students. A sense of self realization, self
confidence and problem solving abilities are some of the key traits of a
balanced human being. Our children are strongly imbued with these
from the formative years. A fusion of Gurukul traditions and
modernity, the school harmonizes academics, values, co-curricula and
sporting achievements. Guruji performs all inauguration by re-uniting
the cut ends of ribbons to celebrate union unlike the customary
cutting. In the same way, Saint MSG Glorious International School aims
to synchronize, focus and unleash all positive energies of children,
bringing out the myriad gifts.
Raised by its founder with an eye on perfection, the magnificent
and massive infrastructure- a well planned multi-storeyed building, with
state-of-the art Nursery, Middle and Senior sections, Smart
classrooms, well equipped with latest and licensed software, the
computer section, fully functional science laboratories, music room and
art studio, a multipurpose assembly hall, a well stacked library, play
fields facing a wide stage for cultural activities and the plants & trees
all around- provide an aesthetic ambience for the students to bloom
and groom into fine citizens to meet the challenges of the 21st Century.
Besides, providing excellent education, the school provides ample
opportunities to its students to take part in cultural, Sports and other
co-curricular activities. The school aims at inculcating a sense of
devotion and inspiration with a thrust upon natural blossoming of each
child into a complete, self reliant and confident individual.
People who have visited MSG and those who are associated with it, say
that it is different and fast progressing. In fact, we would like to
convey that when they are thinking so, they are sharing the beliefs and
emotions of students who are studying here, of the parents who are
important stake holders and have expressed satisfaction about the
holistic development of the students.
Here, all students are made to feel special everyday when they sing,
dance, enjoy and study in the school. Perhaps this is the effect of the
best infrastructure, the best of facilities, the devoted and
experienced staff members, led by a dynamic principal, the pragmatic
management members who are always ready to go that extra mile to
provide anything but the best.
Everything in the school has been designed and created with the
purpose of facilitating the translation of ambitions into
accomplishment. Our infrastructure reflects the winning attitude of
our students; to excel in all that their heart desires, to motivate and
encourage every achievement, no matter how small or big. Every new
milestone of academic or extracurricular excellence that our students
achieve stands as a testimony to our school’s continuous efforts and
passion for providing young minds with nothing but the best.
The digitalized class rooms of all the wings are conducive to learning in
their own way. Smart class programmes drive home the points that
lecture can’t, have been extremely successful initiatives to implement
interactive education. The smart class concept being an interactive
device not only prompts students to learn but also assists those who
cannot. The school has also initiated English language lab, making
continuous strides towards progress.
The multipurpose hall is always a hub of activities, where at any given
time one can see students exhibiting their creative talents in the
diverse fields one can think of.
Library is another place which fascinates the young learners. The
school library is a treasure house of all kinds of books. The school
subscribes a large number of education journals, children’s’ magazines,
newspapers, the weekly & fortnightly published popular magazines on
regular basis. Students can also enrich their knowledge through the
internet facility made available in library.
The sports complex provides ample opportunities to excel in Basket
Ball, Volley Ball, Hand Ball, Yoga, Tae- Kwando, Chess & Lawn tennis.
Trained coaches & modern equipments ensure that students derive
maximum benefits from these. To train the students in different
sports from a very young age the school is organizing training to the
students by the trained coaches.
The teaching faculty of the school consists of trained experienced and
well exposed teachers. These teachers are not just about qualifications
and caliber but also about exemplary mentorship. They support, guide
and lead students to accomplish all that they desire. Countless number
of times they extend extra help to the students whenever they ask
for.
All this is possible, as there is an iconic & dynamic personality Ms.
Poonam Arora heading the entire team under the guidance of our
beloved St. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan. She is the one who has
taken the school from altar of one success to the next, the team has
been complementing her endeavor with the Academic Coordinator Ms.
Usha Kumari creating new milestones of success which have become
the benchmark for others to follow.
Principal’s message
“The ideal of all education, all training should be man making. Education
is not the amount of information that is put into your brain and runs
riot there, undigested all our life, we must have life building, man
making, character making assimilation of ideas.”
It is an honour and privilege to be the Principal of MSG, the school
which stands for quality education and character building.
Today, the role of a school is not only to pursue academic excellence
but also to motivate and empower its students to be life long learners,
critical thinkers, and productive members of an ever- changing global
society. A school must try to provide its students with an atmosphere
for multifaceted development, where children are encouraged to
channelize their potential in the pursuit of excellence. This can only be
possible in a holistic, student – centric environment. The talents, skills
and abilities of each student need to be identified, nurtured, and
encouraged so that he/she is able to scale greater heights. Students
need to be provided with a platform to think, express, and exhibit
their skills. Each child has his/her own individuality, special skills, and
interests. Therefore, a good educational system is one that helps a
child to nurture his/her talents and overcome shortcomings by
providing him with appropriate, encompassing education. There is an
ever growing paradigm shift in the delivery of curriculum that was
available earlier and the present educational scenario. The
technological advancement has swept across the nation. We motivate
our teachers to provide an atmosphere for discovery, where students
are encouraged to be creative and curious, instead of routine loading of
children with academic burden. We at MSG are devoted to prepare our
students for life, groom them to face the challenges of tomorrow, and
encourage them to be socially relevant. We encourage each child to
develop in his special field of interest so as to best showcase his
talents, radiating kindness and compassion as it soars high in its pursuit
of academic excellence upholding school’s motto: “Service before self”.
We are confident that the school will steadily expand its horizons to
attain even higher standards of the vital aspects or quality education
including inculcation of social & moral values in our children. I
appreciate the efforts invested by the teaching faculty and
management of the school with whose efforts the school has realized
so many of its goals. And I would also thank the parents for keeping
faith and confidence in us. I wish school a glorious future and many
more successful steps on the path to success.
-Ms. Poonam Insan

Duties and Responsibilities of Principal
Principals are educational administrators who run high schools, middle
schools and elementary schools. Most principals split time between
performing administrative functions, such as hiring staff and managing
finances, and carrying out duties of a more academic nature, such as
developing teaching curriculum and reviewing methods of instruction.
Principals also function as the de facto public face of the school,
representing it in dealings with the wider community. Here at MSG our
principal looks after the day to day working as well as the code of
conduct and the functioning of MSG in a developmental manner. The
duties and responsibilities also include the following areas :
Implement Curriculum
 Most public schools receive detailed curricula from the concerned
board outlining what lessons students are to be taught. At MSG
school principal is charged with making sure this material is
properly implemented. The principal often participates in planning
the curriculum.
Supervise Instruction
 Principal is charged with monitoring teachers and evaluating their
performance as instructors. This is done by reviewing reports
from students, parents and other faculty, as well as sitting in on
classroom lessons. The principal then offers corrective feedback
when appropriate.
Hire Staff
 Principal at MSG is responsible to make most of the personnel
decisions in a school, including which staff to hire and, in some
cases, to fire. The principal generally interviews candidates for a
particular position before making a decision. When contemplating
the dismissal of a staff member, principal will judge the
infraction according to school policies.
Develop School Policies
 In coordination with other educational administrators, including
the school board, the principal helps to formulate or refine school
policies. These include policies related to teaching methods,
academic performance, safety and discipline.
Discipline Students
 A visit to the principal's office is a dreaded rite of passage for
most school children. The principal is responsible for outlining
disciplinary procedures and, in the case of more serious
infractions, making decisions about the severity of the
punishment.
Ensure Safety
 The principal is responsible for the safety of all teachers,
students and staff. To safeguard these individuals, the principal
makes sure the school adheres to certain safety precautions,
conducts regular emergency drills and identifies potential
hazards before they cause harm.
Public Relations
 Principal at MSG represents the school to the wider community.
This includes communicating regularly with parents as well as
reaching out to local businesses and organizations for support.
Draw Up Budget
 Principal lends a large hand in preparing school's budget. Principal
will first set goals and identify certain priorities for the school,
then allocate resources accordingly.

The relationship with the Managing Committee
 Every non-government school has a managing committee with a
president, a secretary and a few members. This body has direct
connection with the state department of education and also with
the Secondary Board of Education. It is a very powerful body,
which can appoint and dismiss teachers. Of course this power of
the management has been curtailed these days. For the smooth
running of the school administration, our Principal has close
contact with the managing committee.
Supervision of curricula rand Co-curricular Activities
 The Principal is responsible to set-up separate committees with a
chairman to look to their progress. The curricular activities like
instructional programme guidance services, examinations and
evaluation, audio-visual educational programmes etc., and cocurricular activities like games and sports, excursions, hobbies,
debating and literary society, cultural and social programmes,
library and reading room, Red Cross and First Aid, N.C.C. and
N.S.S. etc., are supervised by the Principal with the help of
these committees. Distribution of activities is also be made by
the Principal. Thus, she helps in the growth and development of
the whole child, mental, moral and physical activities.
Prayer
In a world filled with chaos, we pray because prayer is the antidote to
anxiety.
Prayer deepens our relationship with God.
He created us with a need for connection, and prayer is connection.
Praying is talking to the Lord, just like friends talk to each other and
are brought closer together through their sharing. When we pray, we
share our innermost being with Him. Through prayer, we are
transformed and renewed. Prayer reminds us that we are dependent on
God and not on ourselves. Prayer draws us closer to God.
Prayer is an invocation or act that seeks to activate a rapport with
a deity, with this notion to make students spiritual, we at MSG follow a
schedule on daily basis to connect to god. For this we follow a regular
regime of prayers at MSG.
Evening prayer
O lord! if during the day , knowingly
or unknowingly, any bad thoughts
have crept into me, Pray, do forgive
“Me” for that. I am meditating towards
their erasure

Curriculum
The school is affliated to Edexcel board. The Syllabus for classes IX
and X, as well as for XI and XII is stipulated by the Council. Our
curriculum manifests the importance of integration and the
development of the child in all dimensions viz. spiritual, moral,
cognitive, emotional, imaginative, aesthetic, social and physical. Our
curriculum includes quality in education, children with special needs,
literacy and numeracy, a sense of national and international identity,
the spiritual dimensions, equality and fairness of access, science
education, ICT. On CIPP basis our curriculum emphasizes four basic
skills Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening to culminate the
children. The Syllabus for the Junior School is designed by the school
to equip the student with basic skills in the languages and sciences,
mathematics, computer studies and art. The middle school syllabus is
designed to be a bridge between the Junior School and Main School, so
that it dovetails with the Council syllabus yet retains some
independence to provide the best learning experience to the students
during these crucial years.
The Academic faculty complements and supplement the class room
teaching with field trips, laboratory work, audio-visual lessons, student
–led research work, and by inviting guest speakers, in order to enrich
the learning experiences of the students.
Career Counseling, etiquette training, apprenticeship programmes and
personality development are also used to help the student in all-round
development and making an intelligent choice of subjects and activities
which target their short term and long term goals.
Incentives under this programme include honour lists for academic
performance and Open Prizes in all subjects.
The school also has an option for Class XI & XII to follow the ICSE
syllabus who prefer to go for it.
Every student goes on for tertiary education at the end of year XII.
The teaching system is backed by a remedial address system, and since
the students and staff are residents, every teacher is accessible at
any time if a child seeks help. The school has provisions for helping
children with special needs. The school runs The Learning Centre,
which is an education centre for non-resident.
Nursery Wing : The Beginning of Journey
It is said that the destiny of a nation is shaped in its classrooms. A
perfect example of this is the classrooms of our Nursery Wing. The
brightly coloured classrooms and the playful atmosphere ensure a
harmony between child like curiosity and serious learning, thus enabling
the birth of an implicit balance in the hearth of every child, a balance
that truly sets apart MSGians from every one else.
Carefully planned to perfection, keeping the needs of young learner in
mind, the building has areas allocated for play, activity, creativity &
learning. A plethora of activities are planned keeping along with the
daily learning process to help holistic development of children. The
infrastructures includes, well planned class rooms, children playground,
well furnished library, smart class, computer lab.
Latest techniques in the digital world is path breaking. Smart Boards
have been installed in each class so that the teacher can supplement
the classroom teachings with audio visual systems which enable a
grasping registration in the minds of our young budding students.
3 Year Old Program
This program offers a nurturing , loving environment for 3 year olds.
Our philosophy focuses on connecting with the child and offering
experiences and interactions to assist them in feeling safe and loved.
From this foundation, the child has the opportunity to develop a sense
of safety, self-confidence and trustworthiness which then leads to
positive engagement and interaction in the classroom. The 3 year old
classroom is set up with developmental learning centers. The centers
are tailored towards the developmental needs of the children in the
classroom. Teachers utilize time of development towards toilet
training and proper hygiene.
Traditional Preschool Program
The preshool program is designed to meet the developmental needs of
children 3 and 4 years of age. The MSG Preschool is a developmental
preschool with a special emphasis on social/emotional development. We
also embrace Howard Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences;
recognizing that each child is unique and has their own style of
learning.
Junior Kindergarten Program
The Junior Kindergarten program is designed for children who have
their 5th birthday between September and December. The curriculum
is designed to meet their individual needs preparing them for the
Kindergarten experience. The Jr. K program blends social and
emotional experience with academic learning. Pre-literacy and premath skills are experienced through play based learning. The children
develop social and self-regulation skills needed to succeed in
kindergarten. They experience interacting with their peers and
teachers in positive ways, problem solving skills, independence and
focusing skills. All of these promote a head start for their future
success in school. Our Jr. K incorporates the MSG curriculum and
special events, but in order to provide a fresh curriculum for those
students entering the third year of preschool, Jr. K focuses on a letter
of the week beginning in May. Jr. K partners with the Kindergarten
class, and they will go on field trips the rest of the school may not be
going on.
Kindergarten Program
The MSG Kindergarten uses Intellisis Series education program . The
Treasures program was chosen for its numerous components. This
program incorporates sight word reading, small decodable books, takehome books and a writing component. Moral education and EVS are also
part of this curriculum. The big books and read aloud library add great
value to the Treasures program. The mathematics Envision Math
program incorporates take home books to go with each chapter concept
and includes many reproducible work pages. Both the language arts and
mathematics programs each contain components to challenge the
advanced student and also components to reach those students who
need more review of concepts.
PRIMARY WING
As there is a healthy transition from Kindergarten to Primary, the
students tend to develop expression of ideas. Good social and cultural
values are strengthened through day to day classroom activities such
as Role plays, Dramatizations, storytelling with puppets, etiquette
sessions and organization of cultural functions ranging from
celebration of important festivals, national events, academic
competitions, fancy dress competitions, Mothers’ Day, Grandparents
day, annual day, sports day are only few of the events to be named
where we find mass participation of students.
MIDDLE WING
It is an important stage. By this age students start forming their own
opinions and become more inquisitive. Hence it is of utmost importance
that they be correctly guided and groomed to take on responsibilities.
Students are encouraged to participate in various activities so as to
channelize their energies in to right direction and also to give them
ample opportunities to augment their innate talents .The plethora of
activities offered also aim to inculcate in them the very vital life skills
and values. These teachings are often supplemented with traits like
leadership, teamwork, unity & brotherhood, compassion so that they
emerge out as dynamic leaders of tomorrow.
SENIOR WING
The school curriculum has always been eclectic, to expose the student
to a maximum number of activities so that he can choose the activities
suited to his taste and abilities, develop them to excellence and hone
them during competitions of all levels. A few years ago the various
activities in the school curriculum were crystallized into a five-pointed
star. Activities of a similar type are grouped under a curriculum
programme; each of these is organised and supervised by a Curriculum
Head and a School Coordinator.
The students are at the turning point of their career at this stage,
special care is taken to foster and strengthen their abilities to excel in
academics and also to develop in them a sense of social responsibility
and self efficacy.
They are taught to blend our traditional ethos with the appropriate
advantages of the modernity. The teaching methods adopted in school
are latest and the teaching faculty highly innovative and devoted. The
services of specialized and experienced faculty are hired to train
students to successfully clear the entrance examinations of various
professional courses. The latest steps towards digital education have
made the educational process totally interactive and engrossing. Career
counseling sessions are arranged periodically to sensitize students
about various career options available after schooling.
Activity based Learning
An idea that is developed and put into action is more important than an idea
that exists only as an idea.
-Edward de Bono
It’s really true that much of education, as it is commonly practiced in
India, is competitive and test driven. Students are encouraged to learn
what will come in exams no more, no less. MSG in actual exhibits that
the ladder is not a mechanical structure with equidistant steps. Here
for each specific academic achievement, different ways of learning are
built in.
To meet this purpose Activity-Based Learning (ABL) lay out the base
which helps to change the role of a teacher from an authority in
knowledge to a facilitator for the student to discover knowledge. When
anyone experiences interest in something, whether it is a subject,
sport or activity, nothing will stop him or her from learning all they can
about it.
Academic subjects are introduced from an interesting perspective,
where fun is a gateway for learning.ABL is ease and encourage relations
among students-students and students-teachers. Students learn from
reflections and interactions with their colleagues and teacher.
Examination System
The school certificate examination is conducted on the basis of the
Edexcel Board of Education. We follow internal assessments from
levels to Grade VIII and external assessments for IGCSE and AS/A
Level examinations held by the Edexcel board. The question papers are
set by the experts considering the critical and reasoning abilities of
the students to get the best out of their capabilities.
Available in over 40 subjects, Edexcel also offers a broad range of
International GCSEs, which prepare students for academic and
vocational study at level 3, including progression to GCE AS or A levels,
BTECs or employment.
All subjects are linear, which means that candidates are assessed by
exam at the end of their course. There is no coursework involved in the
International GCSE. They are recognised as equivalent, grade for
grade, to a GCSE and have the same status in terms of university entry

Teaching Staff
At St.MSG Glorious International School, we value the most invaluable
resource - Our Teachers
Our faculty at The MSG School enlarges the learning experience. All
teachers live on the campus and are actively involved in the extra and
co-curricular activities that are pencilled into the daily routine of the
boys. Be it on the sports field, the sphere of publications or debates,
teachers take an active interest and share a healthy rapport with the
boys.
Every teacher is assigned a tutorial group of about ten students. The
interaction with this group goes beyond the usual facilitator's role.
Pastoral and counselor roles are merged, and the students benefit
immensely. Occasional outings with tutors to explore the MSG and
midterm expeditions strengthen the bonds between students and
teachers.
Teacher training programmes organised at the Teachers' Center and
workshops attended at different venues are a regular feature and
ensure that the faculty keeps abreast of the latest developments in
the field of education. The school is committed to increasing its

Daily Schedule
MSG gives children a very special experience. The daily routine and the
communal living they experience at an early age help them learn selfdiscipline and self-reliance.
A typical Weekend at MSG
MSG Boarders’ saturday begins like the rest of the week and is like any
other day till the afternoon. After lunch session, students spend time
at different club activities pursuing their hobbies and co-curricular
interests. The evening games time is extended. The students watch the
movies screened at the AV room plasma. Sundays and other holidays at
MSG hostel are filled with fun and frolics. Sunday begins slowly, no
rush for school, sports or study in the morning. Delayed breakfast
time, Students can just relax after lunch or work out their hobbies.
Evening games are optional and most of the students play their
favorite sports and games without time restrictions. No study time at
all in the evenings on Sundays. The Students utilize their time in useful
activities like playing computer games, art and craft etc. After dinner,
Sunday night is celebrated in the AV room. Students exhibits their
talent in mono acting, dancing, singing etc.
In all these activities students are constantly helped and monitored by
the warden.
House System
Outside the classroom, teachers adopt the role of guide and
mentor. The school has a unique system of self governance through
such committees as the school council, the mess committee, the
games committee and the technology council.
Discipline and 'getting the job done' is left to the boys. The
Prefects and the various Games' Captains are given responsibility
and a reasonable degree of authority to function effectively.
MSG is one of the schools to follow and implement the House System
to inculcate the value to produce leaders capable of solving the
toughest challenges in an ever-changing world. The four houses are
named as:
RED CROSS
 ENVIRONMENTALIST
 COAST GUARD
 WELL WISHER
The names of the houses represent the different kinds of welfare
activities that promote safe and secure environment for the people.

Each house has a House Captain and a couple of Prefects while a
separate Games Captain is appointed for each sport. Overall
responsibility resides with the School Captain.
A quaint aspect of the functioning of this system is often seen during
break-time when a Prefect gives one of the students a 'change-inbreak,' which is a minor punitive measure for a misdemeanor.
At MSG, the House Council concept is unique. House Captains,
Prefects, Students, Tutors and Housemasters hold a lively monthly
meeting to discuss matters pertaining to the House, thereby
encouraging participation and decision making.
Prefectorial System
MSG has followed the design to start the Prefectorial System. Today,
the school authorities consist of the four House Captains, The School
Captain, and The School Prefect.
The students earn their leadership laurels from an early age and from
many different quarters. Every residential House sends
representatives across forms to the School Council, Mess Committee,
Library Committee and the Technology Committee. The School Council
is the apex body that decides on policy matters pertaining to everyday
running of the school.
The School also practices active leadership through its students-incharge of the many societies, activities and publications.

Fun and Frolic
Fun and freaking cannot be detached from kid hood and even we never
wish to depart this from them. Students have a great room of learning
via fun in Saint MSG Glorious International School. Immense childfriendly, amusements are provided to these kiddies like Swings, rides,
team games to relax their child mind. Keeping in mind child-prodigy,
apart from mental relaxation number of fun-bearing physical activities
are enjoyed by students like artificial indoor mountaineering climbing.
“No Child Left Behind” the Saint MSG Glorious International School
policy is never compromised here even. Each student is ensured for
their excitement unless required supervision & complete babysitting.
Trips / Excursions
In Saint MSG Glorious International School’s curriculum, books are not
the only sources of information, nor are the classroom the only place to
acquire it. Any subject becomes more interesting and comes alive when
visited. The classroom is also limited in that learning is a personal
affair and a child will get out of academics only what he or she wants
from it. So to make learning a more participative and democratic
affair, children are taken out of the classroom and into the outside
world to experience at first hand what they have been taught and to
look at certain things through the eyes of the collective number. For,
often, reactions are learnt from others and ignorance is replaced with
experience.
As an example, Respiratory system in Science, SMSGGIS Kids visit the
hospital and lectures from doctors are delivered for the students for
better output and practical way of learning. In such a way we create
practical learning sessions for students inside as well as outside the
classrooms. Visit to Railway Station or amusement parks, mental
development such as banking classes and much more.(At this place it
should show the symbol of hand which would show the images of
students) is the part of our creative teaching.
MUSIC
Saint MSG Glorious International School trusts if music were to
continue in a child’s life in school they would do better academically
than a student who did not take any music classes, that’s because music
helps develop the brain, think about it, when you work out how you feel
after, less stressed, clearer thinking, more relaxed well music is like a
workout for the brain. Music is the most wonderful way of spiritual
realization; there is no quicker and no surer way of attaining spiritual
perfection than through music. A simple, familiar folk song is a musical
education in itself. The examination of simple melodies encourages
students to give reasons for what they feel. This liberates them from
the erroneous and stultifying opinion that a response to beauty is
based solely on subjective feeling (that beauty is relative•) or habit
(that we hear musical events as we do only because we have heard them
repeatedly). It reveals, in highly specific ways, that human feeling is
complex, that our emotional response to beautiful sound is grounded in
a remarkably precise. Music lessons have been shown to improve
children’s performance in school. By studying music, we want to
cultivate our student’s taste, encourage their appreciation of Beauty.
It compels us to transcend self-interest and self-feeling. We do not
merely behold beauty but look up to it. In appreciating beauty, we
admire that which deserves to be admired. To cultivate taste is
therefore to cultivate judgment. Beauty, in short, is in the eye of the
educated beholder.
Music can:





Change mood
Connect people
Express creativity
Express feelings
Help relieve stress
Sports
Sports not only keep students physically fit but it also teaches the
values of discipline, loyalty teamwork, hard-work and honesty which
helps them to play the bigger game of life. At Saint MSG Glorious
International School we have variety of sports to choose from like
Horse Riding, Netball, Snooker, Table Tennis, Yoga, Football, Cricket,
Swimming, Chess, etc. A modern gym and a swimming pool provide
additional physical activity. To bring out the child’s maximum potential,
we have professional coaches for all sports. sport is a an integral part
of education in MSG, as it develops a child physically as well as mentally
various terms of sports are played by students in the school play area.
Annual sports day is organised for students of all classes.
The pupils participate in a variety of athletic events. It is inaugurated
by the reverential and chivalrous St.Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji
Insan. All call his holiness as Pita Ji to show their deep love and
devotion.
Vacations
The summer vacations are from June to First week of July. Diwali
vacation begins according to yearly calendar.
PTM
Saint MSG Glorious International School avails the opportunity for
two-way communication between teachers and parents in the form of
Parent – teachers meet where we share a common treasure the
student. At our school we conduct PTM after every two months. We
perceive that teachers attitudes toward parents and their efforts to
involve parents are critical to good parent-teacher relationships and
student achievement.Teachers set up the expectation that parental
involvement is welcome and necessary which aware the parents about
the developing graph of the child.
In our school PTMs,Parents are being indicated with strong evidence
for their children who are meaningfully involved :




are well behaved and have more positive attitudes about school.
get better grades and test scores.
graduate from pre school to high school at higher rates.
are more likely to go on to higher education.
Keeping this goal in mind, a Parent-Teacher Meetings are organized in
the School on monthly basis. To organize the meeting joint efforts
were made by all the faculty members of School. Parents were asked
suggestions such as:
1. Expectations from the school.
2. Teaching/Learning experience in their ward life.
3. Course curriculum & infrastructure
4. Additional efforts for weak students.
5. Personal problems of students.
6. Change observed in your ward in School.
7. Students life at home/hostel.
Note: PTM can be conducted early or late as per the requirement of
school and prior information will be conveyed to concern parents. If
any parent is unable to attend PTM on scheduled date and further
needs separate meeting on alternative running days prior permission of
Principal must be sanctioned in a written note (Valid for exceptional
cases).
UNIFORM
It instills a feeling of belonging to school•
School uniform plays a valuable role in contributing to the ethos of a
school and sets an appropriate tone. We at Saint MSG Glorious
International School strongly encourages students to wear uniform as
it instills pride; support positive behaviour and discipline; encourage
identity with, and support for, school ethos; ensure pupils of all races
and backgrounds feel welcome; protect children from social pressures
to dress in a particular way; and nurture cohesion and promote good
relations between different groups of pupils. School uniform is
mandatory for all the students. Kindergartens have their alternative
days for informal dress.
When people see our uniformed students around the town behaving
(with excellent conduct) it visibly states that they belong to a
particularly first-rate school.

teachers of their wards.
Hostel wards are permitted for outing twice a month (second

Syllabus
Within many courses concluding in an exam, syllabuses are used to
ensure consistency between schools and that all teachers know what
must be taught and what is not required (extraneous). Exams can
only test knowledge based on information included in the syllabus. At
MSG we offer courses and syllabus according to the Edexcel
pattern and follow the procedures with regards to it particularly.
For this a syllabus break up is designed by the teachers to make it
convenient for the parents and the students for the whole session.
Many generalized items of a syllabus are amplified in a specific
curriculum to maximize efficient learning by clarifying student
understanding of specified material such as grading policy, grading
rubric, late work policy, locations and times, other contact
information for instructor and teaching assistant such as phone or
email, materials required and/or recommended such as textbooks,
assigned reading books, calculators (or other equipment), lab
vouchers, etc., outside resources for subject material assistance
(extracurricular books, tutor locations, resource centers, etc.),
important dates in course such as exams and paper due-dates, tips
for succeeding in mastering course content such as study habits and
expected time allotment, suggested problems if applicable,
necessary pre-requisites or co-requisites to current course, safety
rules if appropriate, and objectives of the course.
Thus, the MSG syllabus serves many purposes for the students and
the teacher such as ensuring a fair and impartial understanding
between the instructor and students such that there is minimal
confusion on policies relating to the course, setting clear
expectations of material to be learned, behavior in the classroom,
and effort on student's behalf to be put into the course, providing a
roadmap of course organization/direction relaying the instructor's
teaching philosophy to the students, and providing a marketing angle
of the course such that students may choose early in the course
whether the subject material is attractive.

Attendance
Student Attendance
School attendance is required by law and is critical to students’
success in school and life. There is no safe number of days for missing
school – each day a student misses puts them behind, and can affect
their educational outcomes.
Coming to school every day is vital, but if for any reason your child
must miss school, there are steps you can take to ensure they don’t fall
behind:


Speak with the concerned classroom teacher or year level coordinator
and find out what work your child needs to do to keep up.
The school has developed an absence learning plan and ensure that the
child completes the plan.
Remember, every day counts. If your child must miss school, speak with
your classroom teacher or year level coordinator as early as possible.
The attendance record is maintained by the teachers to ensure
collective learning and development of the students as a whole. All
these records are scrutinized by the coordinator and the attendance
in-charge concerned and countersigned by the principal each month.
For this the attendance percentage is fixed to 88% to continue with
the session.
From 1 April 2014, new laws will mean that parents can be fined for not
sending students to school without an acceptable reason.
For maintaining attendance ratio, We at MSG :





Take roll regularly showing students that we care when they miss
school.
Reach out to frequently absent students to find out in a supportive
manner why they are missing school and what would help them
attend more regularly.
Work with parents to stress the importance of early education and
to learn about any barriers to good attendance.
Create a nurturing, engaging classroom that will encourage children
to come to school.
Work with colleagues to develop and implement a school-wide
system of incentives and reward for good attendance.
Attendance of Teachers AIMS :
1. To promote a supportive approach to teacher health and welfare.
2. To maximise teacher attendance.
3. To inform teachers and the managemnet of the policy for managing
teacher attendance.
4. To ensure confidentiality of information and facilitate a consistent
approach to teacher attendance in schools.
5. To ensure that teachers are treated fairly, consistently and
sensitively when ill.
6. To raise awareness of welfare service.
To take the leave the teacher needs to :
· Report all sickness absence in accordance with the procedure.
· Maintain contact with the Principal during any period of absence.
· Comply with attendance arrangements at medical referrals.
· Follow professional advice aimed at ensuring a timely return to school.
· Maintain appropriate standards of conduct during sickness absence.
· Advise the Principal of any appropriate matter impacting on their
health and wellbeing at home or school that may impact on their

Teachers' Housing
A society is known by the way it takes care of its teachers.
Not only do teachers produce responsible citizens of tomorrow, but
they also weave the moral fabric our children will be enveloped in
for life.
The school has taken huge steps in modernising and refurbishing
housing for teachers resident on campus. However, the task is far
from complete.
If our development effort can give every teacher a comfortable,
energy efficient, well furnished home, it is half the battle won in
maintaining the teaching standards of excellence that will keep The
St.MSG Glorious International School at the forefront of education.

National Day Celebrations
India is a land of multi-ethnicity where people of different languages
and cultures live together with peace and harmony. MSG reckoning on
the same notion acknowledges its cultural diversity and colorful
festivals. We at MSG celebrate all these with enthusiasm and fun. The
festivals such as Gandhi Jayanti, the Independence Day and the

our glorious past and history.

rallies to educate the people of different castes and religions. These

Special rallies are conducted at various places in the district at regular
intervals throughout the year to create awareness on the importance
of Women Rights, Save Girl Child, Save Mother Earth, Global
Warming and Waste Management etc.as it is also a mission of DSS
which is the root of bringing insight into these grave concerns of the
society as a whole.
School competitions
Education and competition are two important aspects of a students’
life. They spontaneously seek competition with their peers not only in
the institution where they are studying but also with that of other
schools. They have an innate desire to compare themselves with others
in every activity, for example, by debates and elocutions. Such
exposure is obviously beneficial to a child’s development. Thus this kind
of inter-school competition not only enhances the competitive spirit
among the children but also helps them to learn socialization skills and
method of living. Keeping this view in mind MSG conducts competitions
viz; Science Activity, Inter- house competitions, Quiz Competitions,
Story telling, poetry recitation, fancy dress competition, dance
competition, singing competition, mono acting, discussions, paper
crafting, slogan writing, poster making, nail art and Hand writing
competition, Rakhi making competition, Card designing, paper quailing
competition, salad decoration etc. This promotes the sense of never
giving up and stand for themselves in a positive manner in the times of
trials and failures. These competitions give them a chance to learn
from their follies and develop as a positive individual to be a winner and
not be a quitter.
“The value of adequate preparation cannot be understated”
Thus, MSG looks for a better future of its students and assures the
parents that their child is safe and secure in our hands. We at MSG
nurture them by cultivating and strengthening their innate potential
and aptitude to encourage and boost them into better and productive
individuals with spiritual, moral and ethical values.
