Maths – Race from 100!

This game is quite like playing darts!
Each player starts with a score of 100. They throw/
place two items onto the board. They add these
two numbers together and then take this away
from their score.
For example: If I land on 5 and 1, my total is 6. I
take this away from my score of 100. My new
score is 94. Keep going until you reach 0!
Reading Challenge!
Each week children are expected to read 3 times at
home, and write this in their reading diary. Any child in
Owls Class who does this gets a milkshake on a Friday. At
the start of term we had almost every child achieve this,
but recently we are only getting a few children.
THIS WEEK we are challenging Owls to read 5 times – not
only will you get a milkshake but also a secret prize from
Mr Thomas-Bond’s cupboard!
Remember you can read ANYTHING – newspapers,
subtitles on the television, information books or story
books.
