Project Literature Ordering Instructions for 4-H Members & Project Leaders Because 4-H is a program of the UW-Extension system, you have access to high-quality, research-based literature in many project areas. This project literature is a valuable resource to guide youth through their hands-on project learning experiences and provides teaching resources for youth and adult volunteer leaders. The cost of this literature is covered by your 4-H club dues and by Washington County tax dollars allocated to Washington County UW-Extension. Follow these steps to order 4-H project literature: 1. Use one Project Literature Order Form for your family. All youth members and adult volunteer leaders in your family should include their literature order on this one form. 2. Find the names of the projects that you are enrolled in on the left column of the form. If there is literature available for that project, the title will be listed on the order form. Some projects do not have literature available. There is no literature available for youth leaders enrolled in a particular project area. Youth leaders are encouraged to work with project leaders and use their project member literature as a teaching tool. Youth leaders are encouraged to enroll in the Youth Leadership project and use that project literature to support the development of their leadership skills. 3. In the column on the far right, write the quantity of literature that is needed for your family. Order one booklet per project per family. Only order literature for projects that you are enrolled in. If you are not sure what projects you are enrolled in, check your Member Profile in 4HOnline. If you need assistance with this, contact the UW-Extension Office at (262) 335-4478. Some of the literature items are available at no charge online. If a web address is listed we encourage you to access these at home or at a public library and you can print it if you desire. If you need a printed copy provided by the UW-Extension Office, mark the quantity needed in the column on the far right. 4. Turn in your family’s completed Project Literature Order Form to your 4-H club general leader or enrollment coordinator by your specified club deadline of __________________. Your literature will be distributed at a following monthly community club meeting.
