September 2014 | Current | Kindergarten Teacher
Neil M. Ross Catholic Elementary School | St. Albert
I am currently teaching a class of 15 Kindergarten students. I am responsible for their education academically,
socially, and emotionally. I spend a great deal of time talking to parents to build strong relationships with families. I
teach math, language arts, social studies, art, and physical education. I also focus on everyday routines and skills that
the students will have to know when moving on to the next grade.
February 2014 | April 2014 | Advanced Professional Term (Field Placement)
George H. Primeau Middle School | Morinville, Alberta
I primarily taught a grade 5 class with 23 students. I taught math, language arts, science, and physical education. I
created an individual reading group book club that the students self-monitored with guidance from myself. George H.
Primeau is a device friendly school where students are encouraged to bring their devices to school. I was able to
integrate this into my lessons and our daily discussions.
March 2013 | April 2013 |Introductory Professional Term (Field Placement)
Bishop Greschuk Catholic School | Edmonton, Alberta
I taught a group of 25 grade one students. I had a variety of needs that included autism, ODD, OCD, ADHD, and
anxiety disorders. This allowed me to accommodate for my students and adapt my lesson plans if needed. Technology
was a large part of our learning environment. Through the use of Twitter, my students were able to have daily
interactions with students in other districts, countries, and even their parents. I was able to help the Me to We group
at this school with the collecting of funds to build a well in Africa.
May 2010 | April 2014 | Daycare Worker
Kanga and Roo’s Childcare Centre | Morinville, Alberta
I have done programming and planning of the day-to-day activities for children age two through age ten. I have been
