COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Introduction to presentation software using adopted Microsoft PowerPoint release
edition for effective, efficient, dynamic presentations with creating of master
presentations, templates, slide content, and collaborating and delivering
presentations and preparation for MOS Certification.

GRADING
Students are required to complete the Microsoft Office Specialist PowerPoint
(MOS) 77-422 Exam.
The MOS Exam will constitute 10% of the calculated final grade.
A = 90 – 100
B = 80 – 89
C = 70 – 79
D = 60 – 69
F = 0 – 59

COURSE OBJECTIVES:
Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to operate and
perform advanced presentation applications within presentation design and editing
software. The student will be able to:
1. Select and use various tools and commands
2. Understand presentation basics
3. Work with text on presentations
4. Design presentations
5. Add tables to slides
6. Use charts in presentations
7. Create SmartArt graphics
8. Add graphics to a presentation
9. Use animation and multimedia
10. Secure and share a presentation
11. Deliver a presentation
12. Sit for the MOS Exam
VIII. COURSE METHODOLOGY:
Can include any of the following:
1. Portfolio of documentation representing skills and knowledge gained
2. Hands on textbook applications and exercises for creating and working
within databases and related objects.
3. May include but not limited to: lecture, independent and group projects,
in-class and at-home assignments, tests and quizzes.
4. Integration of the various office applications

EVALUATION:
1. Students will complete multiple exercises in Microsoft PowerPoint application
format.
2. Other assignments, projects, exercises, discussions, portfolios and quizzes
may be assigned and graded at the discretion of the instructor.
3. Students will complete the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Exam for this
course as the final test in the course.
XII.

Assignments will be evaluated according to instructor directives.
