This Statement of Interest (SoI) form is the first step in processing applications for higher degrees
(PhD, MPhil, EdD, SJD, DMA,) at the University of Waikato. Please note, the University will not
process any application for a qualification listed above without this form being completed and
submitted alongside the documents referred to in the checklist below.

When the University has received all required documentation indicated above, your eligibility
for higher degree study with us will be determined, and you will be notified of the outcome.
Please allow three weeks for the University to assess your SoI and get back to you. Please
note that support for a SoI does not guarantee a commitment from the University at this
stage.
