New Concern Number One
Workplace Violence
The Incidence of Workplace Violence has increased over
200% in the past decade. This trend is expected to
escalate in the next decade.





Rage seems to be common today.
The Leading cause of Death For Women At Work?________
There were over 2 million reported assaults at work last year.
There were over 2000 homicides at work last year. Less
than 500 in 1995.
Violent Behavior is not a natural Condition or Response. So
Why the Increase in Violence?
New Concern Number 2
Gambling & Compulsive Spending

DEPRESSION AND THE WORKPLACE
The frequency of Depression in the workplace has increased 12% in the last
decade alone.
60% of people suffering from depression do not seek treatment.
Depression is the fourth major cause of disability.
65% of those seeking treatment seek care from their primary care physician
and only about half of those are diagnosed accurately. Inadequate doses of
prescriptions.
Only one in ten patients actually gets appropriate treatment.
Only one-third of those diagnosed with depression are treated into
remission. In any other medical specialty, a one-third remission rate would
not be acceptable, AND Depression would be considered an epidemic.
So Why are Wellness Programs Not Doing More About
Depression?
