Language Arts: Hummel Help Class Tuesday 7:15
Tuesdays with Morrie Task 2 Due October 3rd and
Task 3 is due October 17th. Our test will be October
20th. MEDIA Day is every other Monday.
We have been learning about the Hero’s Journey
archetype and a hero’s journey in film and text.
Students are starting to draft their own illustrated
narrative of an original hero using the steps in the
hero’s journey. We are also responding to lessons
learned (theme) from Morrie Schwartz about the
meaning of life. We are diffusing vocabulary in text,
learning about tone and mood, imagery, internal and
external conflicts, figurative language, making
inferences about film and text and and responding to
text using evidence.
Language Arts: Bernier Help Class Monday 7:15
We are working on our hero journey story and looking
at theme in stories. Writing groups will be used to
revise and edit stories. Analyzing literature continues
to be a main objective, as we look at the relationship
between plot, setting, characters, and theme in
multiple texts.
Our media day is every other Wednesday.
