Please ensure that the application is complete and that it includes the following items:
Official legalized copy of previous education (school leaving certificate – for Bachelor’s degree
including grades (an academic transcript) confirmed by the governmental authorities according to
the requirements*.
Certificate of recognition of the qualifications issued by the Centre for Quality Assessment in
Higher Education in Lithuania**.
Letter of motivation.
Copy of your passport or other document of identification.
Proof of proficiency in English (TOEFL, IELTS, etc.)
2 recent passport size photos (3×4).
Note: Please note that all documents have to be submitted in English or Lithuanian.
VISA D/TEMPORARY RESIDENCE PERMIT
All international degree students from non EU/EEA countries coming for studies to Lithuania are required to get
visa D. The decision on the issue of visa D is usually made within 10 days after the receipt of application. Visa D
allows students to travel via Schengen area countries 3 months in each period of 6 months. Students will apply
for temporary residence permit to live in Lithuania after first semester spent at Kazimieras Simonavicius

*LEGALIZATION OF THE EDUCATIONAL DOCUMENTS
Applicants who received their education in countries acceding to the Hague 1961 Convention (e.g. Israel, Italy,
Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, etc.) should have an attached “Apostille” to their educational documents. In
most countries the “Apostille” is issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the Ministry of Education.

Applicants who received their education in any other country (Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, Uzbekistan, Kyrghistan,
Moldavia, etc.) should pass a double legalization of their educational documents:

First, the educational documents should be legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the diplomatic
mission or consular post of the country where education was received.
 Second, the documents should be legalized by the Lithuanian diplomatic mission or consular post in the
country where education was received or in the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of
the Republic of Lithuania.

**EVALUATION AND RECOGNITION OF THE EDUCATIONAL DOCUMENTS
All students applying to Kazimieras Simoanvicius University have to submit the certificate of recognition of
educational documents approved by the Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education in Lithuania
(SKVC). More details are provided on http://www.skvc.lt/en/?id=0
Please note that in certain cases the requirement for double legalisation or an Apostille may be waived. For more
