Scheduling Study Sessions
Before scheduling study sessions you must:
 Complete the Study Information sheet
 Test software
 Receive Human Subjects Approval
 Make room reservations (if you are not using the CLER lab)
We request two weeks notice for recruiting subjects. Availability of the CLER lab
can be checked on Netscape calendar by clicking on Agenda and typing in “cler”.
Room requests (for rooms other than the CLER lab) can be made online through
the HBS Intranet. You need not schedule all of your sessions at once. Session
requests are not definite until you have received confirmation from Heather Boaz,
research@hbs.edu, (5-6100)



Study Recruitment Announcement Template
A. Template
Please complete all highlighted sections. Refer to the example below, or contact the Subject
Pool Administrator, Heather Boaz, (research@hbs.edu, 5-6100) if you have any questions.

Note: Italicized parts below do not need to be included; they will be filled in by the Subject
Pool Administrator when the announcement is actually posted.
A Study on Decision-Making, 1/1/01, 5:00PM-6:30PM
Study Description: Participants will interact with one another, anonymously, via the computer. Each
participant will be faced with a series of decision-making situations.
Date: Thursday, January 1st, 2001
Time: 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM
Compensation: Subjects who arrive 5 minutes early will receive a $15 show up fee. Those who arrive on
time will receive a $10 show up fee. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to earn up to an
additional $25, depending on their choices and the choices of other participants. There is the possibility that
some subjects will be turned away from the experiment. Those who are turned away will receive the show
up fee and will not be required to stay for the study.
