
To…
C. Hypotheses (6 T/I)

Make 5 hypotheses for converging lenses and 1 hypothesis for diverging lenses. Use ONLY If…
then…
D. Materials (8C)

Include all the parts of the optical bench, and that you’ve written down everything you used, not
just what’s listed in the textbook (3 marks Communication)


Conclusion (15 C)
Success Criteria:
 Paragraph form
 Outline purpose
 Outline if Hypothesis is accepted or rejected
 Evidence from lab is used to support reasoning for accepting or rejecting hypothesis
 Relationship between independent and dependent variables discussed in detail for ALL
hypothesis.
 POSSIBLE errors that could affect the results outlined and discussed
 Discuss how errors may have affected results
 Discuss how errors were reduced
 Discussion of what could be studied further on this topic
J.
Spelling, Grammar, format (no: I, me, my, we they) and following outlined expectations. (5 C)
This lab is VERY similar to the lab we did on images formed by a converging and diverging mirror. It will probably
give you a jumping off point if you refer back to that lab.
