Mrs. Mary Beth Nolen, a Paraprofessional, has been chosen as the Educational Support Personnel of the Year.

NATIONAL EDUCATION WEEK
The week of November 16th – 22nd has been designated as National Education Week. Notices will be sent home at a later date informing parents and grandparents of the activities for the week. Please watch for these notices.
FOOD DRIVE
West DeFuniak Elementary’s K-Kids will once again be hosting our annual Thanksgiving Food Drive. Canned goods and non-perishable items will be accepted through Friday, November 21, 2014. These items will be distributed to those less fortunate in our community. Students may begin bringing in items on Monday,
November 3, 2014 and for every 4 cans brought in, they will receive credit for one mile.
THANKSGIVING LUNCH
WDE will be serving Thanksgiving lunch on Thursday, November 20, 2014. We invite you to come and eat lunch with your child/children at their regular lunch time. Adult tickets, $3.30 each, will be for sale in the main hall or may be purchased in advance through the office.
BOXTOPS
Remember our Box Tops! The end of the first goal period will be December 5, 2014. If we reach our goal of
10,500, staff and students will be allowed to wear pajamas to school for a day. Please keep collecting! These funds go to purchase new books for our Media Center.
