Joined as a Test Analyst to test the web-based applications for mobile banking, insurance, travel and
investment banking processes, with the aim to test if the applications developed met all major business
requirements. Worked with a team of 6 developers and 2 testers in the Agile environment.
I worked on the following project:
1. Smile - Test Automation
 Smile, or smile.co.uk, is a British internet bank and a trading division of The Co-operative
Bank. It was established as the UK's first full internet bank in 1999.
 The Smile project aimed to test the modules of the internet bank
 The banking applications were developed under the Agile Scrum methodology.
 Involved in writing feature files for each user story in Cucumber using Gherkin language.
 Used the open source automation tool Selenium on Junit Framework.
 Carried out functional testing to test features of Text message banking using Selenium
Webdriver (Java).
 Created Data Driven framework in Selenium to test the security of the accounts for internet
banking and mobile banking in various browsers and smart phones.
 Performed Regression testing when travel and investment modules appended to software.
 Reported and tracked bugs aroused while testing mobile banking and text message banking
features using bug tracking tool Bugzilla.
Achievements:
 My attention to detail I enabled to find a number of bugs previously overlooked by developers.

1. Merck Sharp & Dohme — QA Analyst
 MERCK is one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world and the new project is to
research on discovering and developing vaccines for a broad range of therapeutic diseases.
 Analysed system & functional requirement documents to test Case Report Forms (CRF).
 Used Quality Centre extensively for test planning, test case development and execution of test
cases to collect patient details in Case Report Forms.
 Created automated test scripts in Selenium Webdriver (Java) to test data capturing.

Worked as a Senior Software Tester for Virtusa, hired to perform testing on a number of software
applications for multiple industry domains, including ecommerce, finance, telecommunications and
travel. Worked with a team of 6 developers and was responsible for a testing team of 4 members.
I worked on a number of projects for example:
1. Yes Bank – Test Analyst
 Yes bank is India’s new private sector bank, driven by high quality service.
 The system was developed using V-model methodology. Products such as Savings accounts,
Current accounts, Internet banking are interfaced with the accounting system.
 Analysed the Business Requirements Documents to create test cases.
 Involved in functional testing using Junit Framework in Selenium of calculating current
balance feature for every transaction (withdrawals or deposits) by taking the input from MS
Excel Sheets and sending the messages to the customers immediately.
 Created and executed test scripts for internet banking functionalities to check html pages (web
page), hypertext links, Java applets and tables using Selenium Webdriver (Java).
 Performed regression testing to test banking functionalities using Selenium Webdriver(Java).
 Reported and tracked the bugs found in generating reports for customer accounts, using Jira.

2. Premier Travels - Software Tester
Premier Travels is a Car Rental service website which has three in-house systems Rate
Management; Quick Keys and Fast lane. The main purpose of developing the “Centralised Rate
Engine” was to enable its usage by all systems currently maintaining information rates.
My role was to test the CRE database which provides a smoother transition with GDS concerns
such as Abacus, Saber, Apollo, Galileo, Worldspan and Amadeus.
Worked with 5 developers and 1tester.
Carried out testing this application for various clients using different operating systems such as
Windows 2000, Win7, Win Vista, Win NT, UNIX, and Linux.
Performed back end testing using SQL and did Web Testing using IIS, APACHE Web servers.
Carried out Data validation testing for Data Update application for tables created.
Integration Testing was done on all system components, did database testing.
Documented the Test cases for both Manual and Automated Testing of the above application.
Achievements:
 Ensured successful and timely completion of the project which allowed visitors to book cars,
while their availability was updated and displayed in real time.

3. Oriental Insurance - Quality Assurance Analyst
Oriental Insurance is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Oriental Government Security Life
Assurance Company.
As a Quality Assurance Analyst my role was to test the direct and online policy applications of
the customers. This system was developed in Visual Basic running on windows as a front end
and Oracle as a back end.
Generated Test cases, Test scripts and Expected Results for processing online policies.
Performed load testing with maximum load on database using Load runner.
Executed WinRunner scripts for functional testing of different policies to LoadRunner.
Re-tested the test conditions for fixed problems in and if the test was successful, signed off the
test request to the User Acceptance Team.
Achievements:
 Proactively showed initiative and made sure the documents were indexed properly and
screamed to correct Mainframe systems.

4. BSNL - Test Engineer
BSNL is India's oldest and largest communication service provider (CSP). The new project was
to monitor and manage the networks using Solarwinds network management. Solarwinds tools
include Application performance monitor.
Involved in testing the features of VoIP & WAN Performance Monitoring software.
Understand the system requirements for monitoring the networks for BSNL call services.
Responsible for running the automated scripts in batch mode using Win Runner tool.
Performed regression testing and ensured that logs were resolved in a timely manner.
Achievements:
 Successfully met all areas of testing for server repairs and call connections despite excessive
workload.

5. DHFL – Manual Tester
Worked as a Tester, responsible for testing the Financial Accounting System. This system
records daily transactions, generates vouchers for verification, and maintains books & ledgers
as per the accounting standards. This client server system was developed using Oracle Forms.
Involved in the preparation of detailed Test Cases for the Financial Accounting System using
MS Excel.
Daily transactions and voucher generations of the accounts were tested manually.
Reported defects found in voucher generation through Defect Tracking System (DTS).
System modules such as Daily Subsidiary Books, Accounts Receivables and General Ledgers
were tested manually.
Achievements:
 Covered the testing of all major business areas for Secured File Transfer Service of financial
accounts allowed employees to share transaction information securely.
