Trade Fair in Milan: Full House!

From October 4th -7th the 11th Transpotec Logitec, the most important specialist trade fair in

Italy and the whole of southern Europe, opened its doors for the second time on the site of the avant-garde Fiera Milano. The overall review of the trade fair was extremely positive: 800 exhibitors, ap-proximately a quarter of whom came from abroad, over an area totalling

220,000m2, and 84,500 visitors on the four days.

A Hive of Activity Every Day

The Schmitz Cargobull stand was a magnet for the public. Ideally positioned in Hall 6 between the two truck protagonists, the number one supplier of trailers in Europe - and in Italy - presented a crosssection of its full range of services: five vehicles (S.KO COOL, S.CS MEGA with VARIOS, S.CS

LIGHT, S.KI LIGHT and S.CF with sliding bogie), technical displays (Schmitz Cargobull axle, container locking systems, Ferroplast), value-added services (Cargobull Parts & Services, Car-gobull Finance) and non-stop video projections. Surrounded by the exhibits, the interior of the 600 m2 stand was tailormade to the needs of the customers and potential customers alike - somewhere where they could ask for advice and detailed information away from the hubbub of the outside world. The concept was a complete success: the stand was a hive of activity all day and every day, something which could not be said of the competitors.

Perfect Team Game

The entire team played host to the visitors to the stand under the leadership of Sales Director Ul-rich

S chöpker. The team of Country Manager Vincenzo Zaghi, the dealers on the Italian market with their salesmen, the after-sales team, product managers and the top management of Cargobull Finance worked closely together in order to provide their customers and potential customers with a breadth and depth of information on the following themes: industry-specific transport solutions, vehicle innovations, product benefits, competitive advantages, trailer technology, financing options - all with the highest levels of expertise and in concentrated form. Supported by the entire stand conception, which attracted both invited and spontaneous visitors, the result was extremely posi-tive: around 300 orders and 400 projects were signed. In comparison: this is more than the annual turnover of a medium-sized

Italian competitor.

With the Ferrari to the Outdoor Trailer

After the very successful joint Stralis All Blacks Roadshow with Iveco, Schmitz Cargobull took advantage of the opportunity in Milan to reinforce the cross-marketing effect even further. To this purpose the company presented not only the S.CS Universal semi-trailer in the All Blacks design, but also the F1 simulator with the reproduction of the original Ferrari 300 world championship winner with the slogan "La Formula del No. 1". Hundreds of interested visitors tested the simulator every day and requested detailed information on the vehicles produced by the blue elephant. In the end there were more than 200 new potential customers, all of whom have now been followed up, so that the

Transpotec fair will continue to bring further orders in future.

The next Transpotec will again be held from May 7-10, 2009 in Milan.
