FACILITY:
25 yard indoor pool, 6 lane course with Wave Eater lane lines, electronic timing
system with touch pads, backup buttons, electronic horn/strobe light start, 6-lane
electronic display scoreboard, and Hy-Tek Meet Manager for Windows software.
Water depth at start end: 10’, water depth at turn end: 3’ 6”.
Adequate spectator seating is available. Camping area for swimmers will be
provided.
The competition course has not been certified in accordance with 104.2.2C(4).
ELIGIBILITY:
All swimmers must be members USA Swimming. Age on October 24, 2015 will
determine swimmers’ age.
COACHES:
Coaches MUST constantly display their current USA Swimming coach credential to
gain deck access. The meet referee reserves the right to ask for coach credential
display and/or deny deck access if coach does not comply or card is no longer
valid/current.
RULES:
Current USA Swimming and Indiana Swimming rules will govern this meet.
USA Swimming Rules 202.3.2 – At a sanctioned competitive event, USA Swimming
athlete members must be under the supervision of a USA Swimming member coach
during warm-up, competition, and warm-down. The Meet Director or Meet Referee
shall assist the athlete in making arrangements for such supervision.
In swimming competitions, the competitor must wear only one swimsuit in one or two
pieces except as provided in USA Swimming Rule 205.10.1. All swimsuits shall be
made from textile materials. For men, the swimsuit shall not extend above the navel
nor below the knees, and for women, shall not cover the neck, extend past the
shoulder, nor extend below the knee.
Any swimmer entered in the meet, unaccompanied by a USA Swimming member
coach, must be certified by a USA Swimming coach as being proficient in performing
a racing start or must start each race from within the water. It is the responsibility of
the swimmer or the swimmer’s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this
requirement.
Use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cell phone, is not permitted in
changing areas, rest rooms or locker rooms.
MEET FORMAT:
All events will be timed finals.
ENTRIES:
Each swimmer is limited to four (4) individual events. All times should be
submitted as yard times. “No time” entries will be accepted. The meet will be run
with HyTek’s Meet Manager software; therefore, e-mail entries are encouraged and
priority. On-deck entries will be accepted up to the four-hour limit, provided a new
heat does not have to be created, at a cost of $6.00 per event. These may be done
up to 30 minutes before the session begins.
ENTRY DEADLINE:
Entries will be accepted starting September 30, 2015. The final deadline for entries
to be received will be October 22, 2015 by 5:00pm. Email entries may be sent as an
attachment to dcs.entrychair@yahoo.com
ENTRY FEE:
$4.00 per individual event. $2 per swimmer splash fee to Indiana Swimming. Make
check payable to Decatur County Sharks and include it with the team entry.
CHECK-IN:
ALL SWIMMERS MUST CHECK-IN BEFORE WARM-UPS. Check-in sheets will be
taken down 20 minutes after the start of warm-ups. Swimmers who fail to check-in
will be scratched.
AWARDS:
Ribbons will be awarded for individual events 1st -12th place. Individual High
Point awards will be given to 1 boy and 1 girl in each age group.
CONCESSIONS:
A concession stand will be available for spectators and participants. Additionally, a
swim shop will be available in the concession area. Meet T-shirts will be available.
TEAM AREA:
Camping areas will be available in the school commons/cafeteria area. Teams are
asked to please keep this area clean during the meet. Please pick up your area
when you leave. Please report major spills, etc. to a DCS parent so janitorial
equipment may be obtained to assist the cleanup.
SCHEDULE:
All times are EST. 10 & under warm up 10:00-10:30 am, 11 & over warm up 10:3011:00. Meet starts at 11:15.

way associated with this event, hereby release and forever discharge Decatur County Tiger Sharks affliated
with Decatur County Parks and Rec., USA Swimming, Indiana Swimming, Greensburg Community Schools,
Southeastern Indiana Swimming Association, the respective Owners, Trustees, Directors, Officers, Agents,
Employees, Members, Successors, and Assignees of each of them, and all other persons or entities in any
way connected with sponsoring or holding this Swim Meet, of and from any and all Liabilities, Claims,

Parking is available at no charge in the lots of the Greensburg Community High School There will be no charge for
admission. Heat sheets will be available at the concession stand for a fee.
The Greensburg Community High School Complex is designated as a NO SMOKING zone.
For those who may prefer to stay overnight in Greensburg, Fairfield Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Hampton Inn, and
Lees Inn are available.
Several dining facilities are available in Greensburg, including Taco Bell, Arby’s, Little Ceasers , Subway, El Reparo,
Chili’s, McDonald’s, Wendy’s, KFC, Pizza King, Papa John’s, Burger King, Dairy Queen, and many more. Ask any DCS
parent for directions.
