charismatic sophistication consistent with the building’s architecture.
From the residential comforts of the fully-restored Georgian Revival
building, hints of modernity can be found amid classic details including
dark wood furniture, exposed brick walls and original tin ceilings.
Food & Beverage
Acclaimed local restaurateurs Marcie Turney and Valerie Safran own and
operate Little Nonna’s, a casual Italian-American restaurant located on
the ground level of the hotel. The pair are soon to debut Bud & Marilyn’s,
serving classic American fare amid a retro vibe inspired by the Wisconsin
restaurant owned by Turney’s grandparents, the original Bud and
Marilyn, for 40 years.
Neighborhood
Located minutes away from historic sites such as Independence Hall, the
Liberty Bell, and the Pennsylvania Convention Center, The Independent
Hotel is located in Midtown Village, a dynamic Philly neighborhood.
These square blocks are home to boutique shops, clothing stores, art
galleries, bars and amazing eats, including Philadelphia’s new Restaurant
Row — 13th Street, which features some of the best dining in town.
