Abstract
Mine coal is a kind of work field that has close relation
with volume calculation. Volume calculation is very necessary to
define, because it related with total mine cut volume and total
coal volume that has take away. Therefore, it needs to determine
volume calculation with the best method. In this final project,
volume calculation method that used is Borrow Pit method.
Volume calculated at two different segments. Data
processed by Surpac Vission, Autodesk Land Desktop 2004 and
Borrow Pit method. At Borrow Pit method, data processed with
various grid size to determine the best result for calculating and
measuring mine cut volume.
The result shows that 5 m is the most optimal of grid size
for calculating mine cut volume. For measuring mine cut volume,
the most optimal of grid size will depend on the characteristics of
topography that measured.
