Chemical and Physical Change Drawing
Pick an example of a chemical and physical change. Create an
illustration of your changes. First, draw in pencil. Then, go over
the drawing in marker, colored pencil, and/or crayon. When
you are finished, answer the questions below on the back of
the drawing or on a separate piece of paper.
1) What did you draw for your pictures of a physical and
chemical change?
2) Explain why the pictures you drew are a physical and
chemical change.
3) What’s another example of a physical and chemical change
that is different than ones in your drawings?
4) Students often confuse physical and chemical properties and
physical and chemical changes. How are properties different
than changes?
