Students will create a scale drawing of an object of their choice.

A 3 dimensional object that is wider and/or taller than your piece of grid
paper.

Options:
To reduce the time it takes for students to decide upon what object to draw
to scale, consider allowing them to select from a predeveloped set of index
cards with one item written on each card.
If you do the task as pairs, have two cards written with the name of the
same item (see grouping configuration explanation below).
Consider assigning two students the same item to draw to scale and after
independently completing, ask them to compare their drawings and then
share and compare drawing with their peers.
