EXT. EXPLORER’S SHIP. DAY.:
A giant wave crashes over
the bow of a ship under
full sail. ZOOM as the spray
recedes to CU of FIRST MATE
FITZSIMMONS standing with his
right foot up on the gunwale,
scanning the horizon with a
telescope.
Another wave crashes over
the bow. A storm is brewing.
FITZSIMMONS suddenly looks
excited.
TRACK alongside FITZSIMMONS
as he hops down from the bow
to the main deck, runs along
the ship and clambers up the
stairs to the ship’s wheel
at the stern. On the way he
passes sailors swabbing the
deck, fencing, other assorted
shipboard activities.
2 SHOT of FITZSIMMONS and
the CAPTAIN standing by the
ship’s wheel.
(SFX: waves crashing, wind blowing in
sails, ship creaking)
FITZSIMMONS
Captain! Captain!
FITZSIMMONS
Captain James Sir! We’ve spotted land!
CAPTAIN JAMES
Excellent work, Fitzsimmons, this storm
might sink us.
WIDE SHOT of the ship as the
storm blows up.
2 SHOT of FITZSIMMONS and
CAPTAIN JAMES at the ship’s
wheel.
(SFX: wind, rain, thunder)
CAPTAIN JAMES
(shouting)
How far is it, Fitzsimmons, we can’t
take much more of this!
FITZSIMMONS
Not far now, sir! We’re coming
right up on it!
LONG SHOT as the ship
approaches an island. The
storm clears and the ship
comes ashore.
(SFX: calm wind, seagulls, boat hitting
sand)

EXT. ISLAND. DAY.:
WIDE SHOT as the crew of the
ship stumble up the beach,
FITZSIMMONS and CAPTAIN JAMES
in the middle.
REVERSE ANGLE a group of
ISLAND MAIDENS come out
of huts on the beach to
greet the sailors. One
of the MAIDENS approaches
FITZSIMMONS and CAPTAIN JAMES
and smells them.
They clearly smell
disgusting. The MAIDEN waves
to the group of MAIDENS and
one of them steps forward
carrying OLD SPICE BODY
SPRAY. She walks around the
group of sailors and sprays
them. The first MAIDEN sniffs
FITZSIMMONS again.
FITZSIMMONS and CAPTAIN
JAMES look confused until the
MAIDEN gives a thumbs-up. The
rest of the MAIDENS surround
the sailors and they have a
rad ISLAND PARTY.
CUT TO cans of OLD SPICE BODY
SPRAY sitting at the base of
a palm tree. Coconuts around.
Text above cans reads "Old
Spice" and on the next line
"Go Native"
Cut to black.
MAIDEN
(sniffs)
(disgusted noises)
MAIDEN
Mmmm.
(MUSIC: steel drums, islandy music to
the tune of the Old Spice Jingle)
