Other MSU Attractions Beaumont Tower Carillon: Beaumont Tower is one of Michigan State University’s beloved icons. Built in 1928, and richly restored in 1996, Beaumont Tower stands watch over the park-like setting of MSU’s “West Circle” in one of the oldest and most historical areas of campus. Kresge Art Museum: If you are interested in art, visit the Kresge Art Museum. Our art mu- seum has been the home of over 7,000 pieces of art for the past 49 years. MSU Bikes and Canoes: Michigan State University has one the most beautiful campuses in the country and we offer unique experiences each summer -- canoeing and biking through campus. Canoes and bikes are both available for rent through the MSU Bikes office, weather permitting, under Bessey Hall along the river trail near Farm Lane Bridge. MSU Museum: In 2001, the MSU Museum became the first museum in the state to receive Smithsonian affiliate status from the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C.
