‘Cattle Rescue’ Feeling the
Love
Saturday morning, Bill Blemke, founder of Irma-based
‘Cattle Rescue Inc.’ recieved a $350 cash donation from
the Schofield branch of Per Mar Security Services.
The donation stems from a charity fund fed by “Friday
Jean day” at the Schofield office, according to Operations Manager Bryan Thacker. “On Fridays we are allowed to wear blue jeans. Those who do contribute $3
into a fund to donate to a charity of our choice. In the
past we have donated to various organizations such as
the Lincoln and Marathon County Humane Societies
and the Neighbors Place. We are strong believers in
giving back to our community, and this is a way for us
to do that.”
Thacker made a special request to donate to Cattle
Rescue Inc. after reading a recent article about Blemke
and the organization that was published in the Foto
News and Merrill Courier. “When I read the article it
really touched me. To realize there is nothing in the
state to help these poor animals really hit home for me.
I love animals and I just think what Bill is doing for these
animals, out of the sheer kindness of his heart, is a
wonderful thing. That’s why I asked the office to contribute our jean fund for this. Bill is such an exceptional
and wonderful human being.” Blemke reports an estimated $750 in donations have poured in since the story
ran, and the Per Mar donation now puts funds over the
$1,000 mark. “I have recieved so many calls and just
an outpouring of support from all over,” Blemke says. “I
just can’t say thank you enough or express how much
it means to us and the animals too,” he adds with a
chuckle.

me in congratulating both Randy and Mike and wishing

Meet Brian Ciasnocha
We are excited to welcome Brian Ciasnocha to the
Per Mar team. Brian will be a Regional Manager
covering the Wausau, Madison, Rockford, and South
Bend offices. Brian comes to Per Mar from FE Moran, where he served as Vice President of Sales for
an SDM 100 company. He has experience all the
way from carrying the bag to leading an entire sales
organization in our industry, and we look forward to
learning from one another as we look to accelerate
growth.
Toi Owens Featured “Behind
the Scenes”
Per Mar and Toi Owens, our 3rd shift Supervisor
in Central Station, were selected as one of a few
companies that were featured in a series called
Behind the Scene about people who keep the
Quad Cities running.
The featured story highlighted how one team
member views her job in providing a sense of
security to our customers. It really drives home the
importance of providing peace of mind to our customers. Her story brings to light that we have many services that we can offer our customers and that we are
here all the time, day or night for them.
Thank you to all of our employees for your time and
all you do in servicing our customers. Your efforts
make our mission statement of guardians of people,
property, and profits for life become a reality.
Per Mar Acquires Residential
Security Customers in
Rockford
On December 1, Per Mar acquired the residential security customers of Rockford Tech, based in Rockford, Illinois. The acquisition brings 228 customers
with it. Rockford Tech will continue to operate in the
commercial space, where they specialize in the banking vertical.
Join us in welcoming these Rockford Tech customers to the Per Mar family. Both companies hope that
these customers can benefit from Per Mar offering
interactive services, and we will aim to keep the customers as happy as we know Craig Meiter has for
many years.

South Bend
Five years ago, Per Mar Security Services decided to venture into the state on Indiana with the acquisition of
Indiana Security, followed shortly by Digital Alarm, and finally Employers Security. The combination of these
three companies into our brand has allowed us to operate in a large portion of Northern Indiana and Southern
Michigan.
On Tuesday, February 3rd, the South Bend office held a branch dinner to celebrate their five year anniversary. The team enjoyed pizza, appetizers, and cake at Giannetto’s Pizza in Granger, Indiana. Several of the 18
employees in attendance have been onboard since the first acquisition in 2010. South Bend looks forward to
strong 2015 in both the Electronic and Security Officer divisions.

Walking: A Step In The Right Direction
Walking is the most popular physical activity among
adults. It’s low cost, doesn’t require any specialized
clothing or equipment, and you can do it almost anywhere. Walking can:
•
•
•
•
Help lower your risk of health problems like high
blood pressure, heart disease, and diabetes
Strengthen your bones and muscles
Help you burn more calories
Lift your mood
Tips for Walking:
•
•
•
•
•
•
•
Warm up by walking slowly
Increase your speed to a brisk walk. This means
walking fast enough to raise your heart rate while still
being able to speak and breathe easily
Keep your chin up and shoulders slightly back
Let the heel of your foot touch the ground first, and
then roll your weight forward
Walk with your toes pointed forward
Swing your arms naturally
Cool down by slowing down your pace
How much do I need to walk? Adults need about 150
minutes per week of moderate-intensity aerobic activity to stay healthy. 30 minutes x 5 days per week = 150
minutes per week. If you can’t walk for 30 minutes at a
time, you can take three 10-minute walks instead. To
learn more, visit the American Heart Association at

Good luck and stay healthy!
