Professor (Teaching Stream)
The Department of Statistical Sciences at the University of Toronto invites applications
for a full-time continuing teaching-stream position at the rank of Assistant Professor,
Teaching Stream. The position start date is July 1, 2016.
Applicants must have earned a Postgraduate Degree in Data Science, Statistics,
Biostatistics, or related discipline by date of appointment; have significant experience in
teaching a variety of courses in statistics at the University level; and a record of
excellence in teaching including a commitment to excellence in graduate and
undergraduate education; a PhD, other experience in scholarship, in scientific
collaboration or in pedagogy are all considered assets. Salary will be commensurate
with qualifications and experience.
Successful candidates must have strong endorsements by referees of both excellent
teaching and evidence of commitment to pedagogical enquiry and teaching innovation.
