CUSTOMS ACT 1901 - NOTICE PURSUANT TO SECTION 269K(1) - APPLICATIONS MADE FOR TARIFF CONCESSION ORDERS
Applications have been lodged for Tariff Concession Orders for the goods described in the following TABLE.
Australian manufacturers who wish to contest the granting of a Tariff Concession Order for the goods described are invited to
lodge a submission in writing in an approved form. Submissions must be lodged within 50 days of the date of publication of
this Notice.
The operative date (Op.) and TC reference number follow the description of goods.
To assist local manufacturers, the use(s) to which the goods can be put follow the description of goods.
Submission forms are available from Custom Houses throughout Australia or on the Customs web site www.customs.gov.au.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO REVOKE
ITEM 57 (Certain Inputs to Manufacture) DETERMINATIONS
AusIndustry, a Division of the Department of Industry Tourism and Resources that is responsible for the administration of
Item 57 to Schedule 4 of the Customs Tariff Act 1995, declares its intention to make an order on the 31 May 2004 revoking
the following Determinations listed in the Schedule:

The proposed revocation of these Determinations is necessary because of changes to the Customs Commercial System and
the administrative mechanisms that regulate the use of Item 57. Current and intending users of these determinations
affected by their revocation are invited to contact AusIndustry and make submissions for replacement determinations which
will be issued under the terms of the Guidelines issued on 26 February 2001.
The Guidelines which set out the policy as well as the operation and administration of Item 57 regarding ‘Certain Inputs to
Manufacture’ are available on: www.ausindustry.gov.au.
