FIRST TIME FRESHMEN
To be eligible for admission, students must either graduate with a cumulative
grade point average of at least 2.0 and have a composite standard score
of at least 18 on the ACT (or a minimum combined Verbal/Critical Reading
and Math score of 870 on the SAT) OR a cumulative high school grade point
average of at least 3.0 regardless of the ACT composite score. Also, the
following high school units must be completed:
ENGLISH (4)
SCIENCE (3) - All units must be a laboratory science
SOCIAL SCIENCE (3) - Including U.S. History
MATH (4) - Three units must be Algebra I and higher
ART (1)
FOREIGN LANGUAGE (2) - Two units of the same foreign language

TRANSFER STUDENTS
To be eligible for transfer admission, applicants must have a cumulative
grade point average of at least 2.0 and must be eligible to return to the last
college attended. If more than one institution has been attended, an official
transcript is required from each institution. Evidence of honorable withdrawal
from last college attended is required (Transfer Clearance Form). Applicants
who have completed fewer than 28 semester hours before the transfer must
also submit a high school transcript and ACT/SAT test scores.
SCHOLARSHIPS
Submission of your application for admission also serves as your application for academic scholarships. Minimum requirements for high school applicants are a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) and
a composite score of 22 on the ACT or a combined Verbal/Critical Reading
and Math score of 1020 on the SAT. Transfer students with at least 3.25
GPA (on a 4.00 scale) will be considered for scholarships. Priority deadline
for scholarships is January 15. Students must apply for admission and be
accepted by June 15 to be considered for academic scholarships.
