CODE OF ETHICS
Athletics is an integral part of the youth’s total educational program. All school activities,
curricular and extracurricular, in the classroom and on the playing field, must be congruent with
the conference’s goals and objectives established for the intellectual, physical, social and
moral development of its participants.

Show respect for players, cheerleaders, officials and other coaches.
Respect the integrity and judgment of game officials.
Establish and model fair play, sportsmanship, and proper conduct.
Establish player safety and welfare as the highest priority.
Provide proper supervision of the players and cheerleaders at all times.
Use discretion when providing constructive criticism and when reprimanding
players and cheerleaders.
Maintain consistency in requiring all players and cheerleaders to adhere to the
established rules and standards of the game to be played.
Properly instruct players and cheerleaders in the safe use of equipment.
Avoid suggesting, providing, or encouraging any athlete to use nonprescriptive
drugs, anabolic steroids, or any substance to increase physical development or
performance that is not approved by the United States Food and Drug
Administration, Surgeon General of the United States or American Medical
Association.
Avoid recruitment of athletes from other city franchised boundaries - see
Conference Bylaws - Player’s Agreement, a free agent may play anywhere in the
conference if eligible A1 thru A8.
Follow the rules of behavior and the procedures for crowd control as the host or
visiting team as established by the conference in which the city franchise
participates.
Refrain from the use of profanity, vulgarity, and other offensive language and
gestures.
I have read and I understand the policies of the “Code of Ethics” and the “Acts of
Disbarment” in accordance with the Bylaws of the Conference. I agree to abide
by these by laws while participating as a carded member in the San Gabriel
Valley Junior All American Football Conference Inc.
