2014-2015 Hammer Student Association
Communications Committee Staff Application
The HSA Communications Committee is the voice of HSA. By utilizing the HSA social
media platforms, creating effective promotional materials, and devising clever
marketing campaigns, we inform UCLA students and the Los Angeles community about
the great events and programs HSA has to offer while building relationships with
communities of artists in the greater Los Angeles area. Duties include devising
branding strategies, conceptualizing and designing eye-catching posters and
promotional materials, as well as an active participation in HSA social media
platforms’ efforts to network and promote events. We are looking for creative,
dedicated individuals as new members of the communications staff. UCLA graduate
and undergraduate students from any field of study are invited to apply. The
design and marketing production process requires a serious amount of commitment
throughout the year. If you are unable to attend weekly mandatory committee
meetings on Wednesdays 6:30-7:30 PM in addition to the Monday 5:30-6:30pm group
meeting, we kindly ask you to not apply.
All applications MUST be turned in digitally as a single PDF file to
hsa@hammer.ucla.edu by 5pm on Friday, October 10th. Applications will not be
considered otherwise. You will be notified if you need to attend a group
interview for final candidates on Monday, October 13th at 5:30pm.
