World War II Powerpoint Presentation
The following assignment is designed for you to learn about the leaders of the main
participants in World War II. Some will be Leaders of Nations and some will be
important military figures. The goals for this assignment are for you to familiarize
yourself with the Powerpoint Program, to learn to prepare and present a speech in front of
your classmates, and finally to learn about a facet of World War II. You will have to
create and present a Microsoft Powerpoint presentation about one of the following
leaders:
United States: Franklin D. Roosevelt, Harry S. Truman, Dwight Eisenhower, George Patton, Douglas
MacArthur, Omar Bradley, George Marshall.
USSR: Joseph Stalin
United Kingdom: Winston Churchill, Bernard Montgomery
France: Charles De Gaulle
China: Mao-Tse-Tung, Chiang Kai-Shek (both of these have different possible spellings)
Germany: Adolf Hitler, Hermann Goering, Heinrich Himmler, Joseph Goebbels, Erwin Rommel, Adolf
Eichmann, Werner von Braun
Italy: Benito Mussolini
Japan: Emperor Hirohito, Hideki Tojo
Spain: Francisco Franco
Yugoslavia: Josef B. Tito
Each of you will be working individually. We will work for exactly 5 school days. We
will go to the library, we will do research from both books and internet resources.
It will consist of at least 10 slides.

15 pictures (at least 5 photographs) They must be all relevant to your subject.
Audio & visual effects (music and chimes)
The Project will also include a Bibliography of the resources you will use. You will have
to use one of the following
1. A book from the library.
2. 2 Resources from the Internet
3. An Encyclopedia (A regular one or an Electronic one, such as MS Encarta)

2 Computers with Internet & MS Powerpoint in Teachers Classroom. Open at
lunch and after school.
Computer Lab Has MS Powerpoint. It is open 7-8 AM and 3-4pm everyday.
The library has Books, Encyclopedias, and Internet all available for research.
Library Hours are the same as the computer lab.
Every teacher on campus has a connection to the internet and most have MS
Powerpoint. Make arrangements with one of them to work on your project if this
works better for you.
Finally, many of you have computers at home. Find a classmate who has a
computer and simply work together.

Additionally you should go to any search engine (yahoo, Alta Vista, Lycos, google, etc)
and simply type in the name of your leader. This should give you lots of ideas and places
to go to get more information on your subject.

These questions are here to help you organize slides. Create your own
project with your own pictures, graphs, etc. However, you must answer
these questions to get the points. You can have fun this way as you create
your own project… HAVE FUN!!!
