Group
Natasha has contacted the RNABC regarding the BCMA
response to the draft regulations for registered nurses and
Nurse practitioners. Many nursing leaders have posted a
response to their web site response eg. Debra
Macpherson, Mary Ellen Purkins and Diane Clements.
Karen Kline was contacted, at this time the RNABC does
not require a supportive statement from our group.
BCMA would like to form a one multi-disciplinary group
reviewing the NP implementation.
Diagnosis should be nurse practitioner diagnosis.
They are purposing a limited drug and laboratory list
similar to Ontario.
The group name is British Columbia Nurse Practitioner
Association.
It is an informal group with two co-chairs and a secretary.
The goals of the group were reviewed. See attached
document.
The group discussed possible methods to maintain
contact with NPs located outside the lower mainland and
expand membership.
Natasha Prodan Bhalla will
remain a co-chair.
Victoria Stafford will continue as
secretary.
We need another co-chair if any
one is interested.
