0910-020
EDF 2720
Children in Schools: Legal, Ethical, and Safety Concerns, CCA
....................................... Rhonda Atkinson
Purpose: UCF identifies this course as “other requirements.” Students must have it in order to
be accepted into UCF’s College of Education. Thus, offering the course at Valencia enables our
students to enter their programs after completing their Associate’s Degree. Other local
community colleges (e.g., Seminole) also offer this course; Catalog Course Description: The
role of education in children’s lives through the analysis of legal, ethical, and safety concerns;
Prerequisites: None; Co-requisites: None; Credit/Class/Lab Hours: 3/3/0; Effective Date:
Spring 2010 (201020).
0910-021 EDF 2085
Introduction to Diversity for Educators, CCM ....... Rhonda Atkinson
Purpose: EDF 2005 provides foundational content. In addition, both EDF 2005 and EDF 2085
have a 15 hour observation requirement. Taking these concurrently often poses problems in
Page 2
completing the total 30 hours of observation for both courses; Revised Prerequisites: EDF 2005
(previously, None); Effective Date: Fall 2010 (201110).
0910-022

employer sponsorship or transfer courses that demonstrate skills in prerequisite areas that
ensure a successful internship experience (previously, Satisfactory completion of all mandated

0910-024
Film Production Technology with Specializations in: Cinematography and
Post-Production, A.S. Degree, CPM ......................................... Ralph Clemente
Purpose: The Film Production Technology Program has not offered the Post-Production
Specialization for many years. All students entering into our Film Program are all working
towards the A.S. Degree in Film Production Technology with a Specialization in
Cinematography. Removing both Specializations and keeping the A.S. Degree in Film
Production Technology without any Specialization will be easier for our students when it comes
to declaring majors and Financial Aid. In addition, we will no longer be advertising a
Specialization that we do not offer; Revised Program Title: Film Production Technology, A.S.
Degree; Effective Date: Fall 2010 (201110). (Catalog Markup Attached)

changes were presented with regard to the Radiography Program. Two courses, RTE 2533
(Radiographic Procedures IV) and RTE 2854L (Radiographic Clinical Education VI) were
approved for deletion, with deletion dates of Fall 2009 (201010). It has come to our attention
