UTILITIES STATE UTILITY ACCOMODATION MANUAL

Question:
Oregon DOT is doing a major overhaul of their Utility Accommodation Policy/Laws and
would like to review other DOT Accommodation Policies. It would be appreciated if you
could either email your policies or provide a URL address (web link) to your policy for me
to download.

We just updated our Accommodation Policy in November 2005. The link is

We separated out the wireline on freeways facilities in their own section of the
policy which was completed in November 2006. That section of the policy can be

WASHINGTON
Since we are near the end of 2 year process to completely revise our Utilities Manual, I
will not be able to share it yet. Our old manual is outdated. Sorry. Maybe I can follow up
in the fall when we expect completion.

ITD"s Utility Accommodation Policy is Appendix "A" of its Guide for Utility Management.

WEST VIRGINIA
We are currently overhauling our Utility Accommodations Policy in West Virginia also
due to recent changes in the law for reimbursement passed by our legislature last year.
INDIANA

Georgia:
We’re in the same boat – we hope to have our new manual completed and issued by
January 1, 2008. Other manual is a pdf at our GDOT website, but it is “old”.
