Key member of the 800-room property’s Executive Committee, overseeing 600 employees including 30

Overall responsibility for leasing and managing retail and F&B outlets in a shopping center located in the
heart of the Pleasure Island district on Guam. Increased revenue during a very challenging period for
tourism by introducing quality luxury-goods tenants into this high-traffic commercial complex.

Primary corporate representative for 190+ franchise stores in the Asia Pacific region. Countries
represented in this region include: Japan, China, South Korea, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand,
Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, Saipan, and Palau. Responsible for development of new
countries and overseeing operating performance of stores totaling over $96 million annually. Provided
services to franchisees in areas of operations, visual merchandising, training, merchandising, and vendor
negotiations. Opened the first TAF store in China in September 1998 and continued development in
China to 15 stores within 12 months of operation. Opened the first multi-branded athletic footwear store
in South Korea. Maintained growth mode in region through Asian economic crisis.

Functioned as a key member of the 500-room property’s Executive Committee. Property generated
revenues in excess of $52 million per year. Oversaw a department of nine that administered resultsoriented programs for over 600 employees. Worked closely with Personnel Manager and Training
Manager to hire, train, and retain productive individuals who contributed to the profitability of the
organization. Conducted and managed both the Employee Survey and Guest Comment Card programs to
monitor progress in achieving higher satisfaction levels for both employees and guests. Designed and
implemented the Guest Comment Program Report formats for corporate and hotel-wide communication
of results. Designed and implemented a successful performance-based bonus plan tied to individual,
team, and company-wide performance.

employees in the Guam Division of DFS (retailer of luxury duty-free goods for overseas travelers).

responsibilities included Human Resource policy enforcement and employee relations.

Assumed responsibility for the recruitment and compensation management of employees in the Guam
Division. During this period, employee population more than doubled due to new store openings and the

and assisted in maintaining a favorable work environment for over 700 employees. Selected as a start-up
specialist to establish operations in Guam and overseas locations. Temporarily assigned to Auckland,
New Zealand to start up new DFS operations in three New Zealand stores.
