With a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (Physics), I am a Senior Project Manager (PMP certified) with
extensive experience – more than 15 years.
I have proven my project management skills by successfully implementing ICT projects in multinational
environments for large customers in various domains.
I am making expert usage of project management tools (including MS Project), am knowledgeable of several
methodologies (Chestra or ATena for Siemens, TEMPO for the European Commissions) and PM standards (PMI,
PMBOK).

Project Director for the NATO project Bi-SC Convergence Upgrades: the mission is to upgrade
(hardware, sofwtare, migration) the NATO SECRET part of the Bi-SC AIS LANs for the former
ACLANT Commands HQ SACT, (USA), JC Lisbon (Portugal), CC-MAR Northwood (UK),
NEWCS (UK).
2004-2006
Program Manager for European Union Directorate General SANCO (Consumer Health),
managing a set of projects for corrective, adaptative and evolutive maintenance of the DG
applications. These applications are characterized by their standard provision of web access to
Oracle databases, for all EU countries.
2003-2004
Project Manager for Touring Dispatching Cartographic Services.
Integration for road network updates/location based services in dispatching applications.
Applications are used everyday by call takers and dispatchers (50 workstations, 3 servers, 24/7).
2002-2003
Project Manager for NATO project IGIS (Interim GIS). Managed the planning, the factory site
acceptance, the procurement of hardware and GIS software, training, hand-over and support for
major NATO commands in Europe: AFNORTH (The Netherlands), AFSOUTH (Italy),
SOUTHLANT (Portugal), EASTLANT (UK), SHAPE (Belgium).
2000-2002
Project Manager for the development of one Core Functional Area defined in the German
Luftwaffe project GAFFCIS (Bundeswehr, J2: Intelligence). The system is based on Internet
technology, being available as standard products for all current commercial platforms.
The international team was in charge of the integration of Geographical Information Systems
technology into the applications, in particular for the graphical situation display.
1999-2000
Quality Manager for design phase of the NATO Automated Financial System (NAFS), based on
Oracle Applications. Establishment, documentation and maintenance of the Quality Assurance
Plan.
1996-1999
SiemensNixdorf
Project Manager responsible for the integration of a Geographic Information System into
Computer Aided Dispatching systems for emergency and rescue purposes. The Belgian Touring
Secours is making use of such applications.
1991-1995
Project Manager in charge of test phase, maintenance, quality assurance and customer support
for a cartography application for aeronautical charting.
Customers included various European airlines (British Airways, Swissair, Lufthansa) and
Civil Aviation Authorities (Belgian Belgocontrol). The system was first designed for a
mainframe environment with proprietary database; I took responsibility for porting to UNIX
minicomputers and graphics workstations with a standard relational database. This involved the
management of an international/multilingual team.

In 1990, promoted Head of Geodata Systems group and responsible for organizing the
