zombie fact sheet
physical characteristics
 slow moving but able to make lunges towards targets
 with each powerful blow the zombie rips at its muscles, thus making the next
attack weaker and so on.
 no greater strength than when it was alive, however the zombie does not hold
back anything when attacking, like a person would
 the zombies body does not decompose as much as regular humans do, they're
infected body is avoided by most micro-organisms that would usually help with
the decomposition process

Senses
 no greater senses than when it was alive
 do to the silence of the world after the zombie apocalypse zombies will be able to
hear noises at great distances, although still within human ability and only if
they're ears and ear canals are intact
 zombies have the ability to smell the living very accurately, though not at great
distances.
 zombies don't have great eye sight. they are able to see light and dark but no
color.
 zombies see movement very well even in darkness. very bright lights have a
blinding effect on zombies because they're eyes are unable to adjust to changes in
light.
 it is possible to hide from a zombie. the easiest way is to remain out of sight and
quiet while the zombie is distracted by something. like eating another person.
 When spotting a potential victim or upon getting provoked the zombie lets out a
loud moan which alerts every other zombie in within shouting distance. also when
another zombie hears that moan it moans as well and alerts other near by zombie,
potentially alerting hundreds or even thousands of zombies.
infections
 once infected it takes roughly 24 hours to completely turn into a zombie
depending upon the injury.
 the infected can only be killed by destroying the brain. or removing the head.
 even after re-death the zombie body is still infected and should be burned.
 the virus has a nearly 100% infection rate. the infection spread through the body
through the blood and begin reacting nearly instantly.
 chopping off an infected body part may help prevent turning, using bleach or
other toxins on an infected wound will not prevent further infection.
 infection can only be transmitted through bodily fluids and thankfully after a day
or so zombies don't have many fluids.
 zombie bites are a sure way of getting infected although simply brushing up
against a zombie's bare skin is not.


getting scratched by a zombie is not a sure fire way of getting infected although
there is a high likelihood of infection
be careful not to get zombie fluids on you while in melee combat
The Brain
 once fully infected the virus completely rewires the humans brain, thankfully the
virus just kills other animals.
 the biggest change for the zombie brain is in relation to memory retention
 zombies no longer remember their previous lives though the do seem to have a
limited amount of spatial memory i.e. they have some memory of how to get from
point A to point B though not necessarily in the quickest or smartest directions,
and memory of an area seems to only last for several hours.
 zombies are immune to habituation, they find everything new, mainly because
they have no real memory to speak of. each new sound or smell or movement is
novel for them and is therefore distracting.
 a zombie may bang on a door for hours but will get distracted and move away at
virtually any distraction.
 zombies don't know the difference between a door, a window or a wall they will
try all areas of a structure equally so long as the structure is air tight and quiet.
 if the smell of fresh meat is lingering through a window then the zombie will try
for that window because of the smell not because it's easy to break through glass.
