NIC-District Unit, Cuttack renders technical support to district administration, line departments,
constitutional bodies, other organizations of Government of India and Government of Orissa in the field of IT
for district level computerisation, implementation of different application softwares, conduct of video
conferencing sessions and configuration for dial-up/RAS/internet connections etc. to meet the prime objectives
of e-governance which are




to empower common man
to enhance transparency in the system
to increase internal efficiency of the system and
prompt delivery of services

Description
An official web site (http://cuttack.nic.in) has been
launched to disseminate information on district
profile and important programmes
being
implemented in the district. It provides information
on different sectors.
An official web site (http://opsc.nic.in) which
contains detailed information on OPSC has been
developed and launched. All advertisements for
recruitments, programme schedules of different
examinations and results etc. are flashed in the
website.
Implemented in all the 11 tahasils of the district.The
main objective of the project is to develop an
integrated comprehensive Computerised Land
Information System for maintaining and updating
Basic Land Records (Record-of-Right) and other
subsidiary records in order to provide consumer
service to the Land Owners and to generate
necessary information base for better monitoring of
Land Administration and to help in effective Plan
formulation for development programs .

made available in the web portal.
Deals with the computerisation of Sub-Registrar
Office in different modules like, registration,
valuation, index etc. Implemented in District SubRegistrar Office, Cuttack .
MIS on DCB serves as a tool for management in
the form of providing a detailed Management
Information System (MIS)
of various activities
associated with the
Tahsil-level

Collection and Balance of land revenue and water
rates.
