Rising PGA TOUR Stars Lucas Glover, Ryan Palmer, Justin Rose
and Bubba Watson Commit to 2006 Booz Allen Classic
Potomac, Md. (May 22, 2006) – Tournament Executive Director Bob Jeffrey today announced
that four rising PGA TOUR stars – Lucas Glover, Ryan Palmer, Justin Rose and Bubba
Watson – have committed to the 2006 Booz Allen Classic, returning June 19-25 to the TPC
Avenel in Potomac, Md.
Defending champion and international star Sergio Garcia headlines a growing field featuring 156
of the world’s best golfers competing at the Washington area’s only PGA TOUR stop.
Challenging Garcia for the Booz Allen Classic crown along with Glover, Palmer, Rose and
Watson are notables Fred Funk, Chris DiMarco, Lee Westwood, Charles Howell III, Padraig
Harrington, Tom Kite, Lee Janzen, Aaron Baddeley, Bernhard Langer, Carlos Franco and Chris
Couch.

Attracting more than 100,000 fans over Tournament week each year, the Booz Allen Classic is
the Washington area’s only PGA TOUR stop, hosting the world’s top professional golfers. The
popular sporting event returns to the region for its 27th year, featuring four competitive rounds,
two Pro-Am competitions, practice rounds and a host of other exciting on-site activities.
Since moving to the Washington area in 1980, the Booz Allen Classic has distributed nearly $10
million to charities, both locally and nationwide. Title sponsor Booz Allen Hamilton and
Tournament host Washington Golf Charities, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, established a
new tradition with the 2004 Tournament, assuring that 100 percent of all net proceeds are
distributed to local charitable organizations.
