Core 1 & Core 2 Papers June 2005
and Solomon papers A C1 and C2
You can find these on the VLE or on your
teacher’s website
Do the papers timed and mark using the mark schemes only
after you have completed the paper and checked them. Give
them in with the rest of the assignment. Together with the
assignment this represents seven hours work plus two hours
getting help, watching videos, back pack work etc. for two
A levels in Maths
It is very important that you study these papers, using the steps outlined below
1) Complete the exam paper in exam conditions. This means you
continue working for the full 90 minutes and make a real determined
effort to find your errors before the time is up.
2) Mark the paper carefully using the mark scheme only after you have
done all the questions and checked your work
3) Wait a day then repeat any question that you lost marks on using the
strict timing number of minutes = number of marks and looking for
your errors before you look at the mark scheme.
4) Repeat steps 3 and 4 until you are confident that if any of those
questions are in your real exam, you will be able to do them quickly
and accurately.
5) Give the FOUR completed papers to your teacher as your assignment
this week
6) Remember to link your subject reviews with your performance on
these papers
