Job Description

Job title: Marketing Manager

Reporting to: Chairman

Core role

Effectively manage, develop and cover for the marketing team

(currently of 2)

– Marketing Executive and Product Marketing Executive

Ensure the efficient and effective marketing of vendor products & RGB

 itself

 Maintain pricing and positioning strategies for all products

 Manage and monitor marketing activities and budget

Manage all forms of communication; internal, website, e-shots, mailshots, tweet, blog, press releases, case studies etc.

 Manage all events, exhibitions, in-house and supporting dealer

 activities

Develop and co-ordinate joint marketing activities with our vendors

 whilst maximising any available marketing development funds

Provide the tools required for our sales team to best promote our products and company

Marketing Executive

Job title: Marketing Executive

Job purpose: Develop, co-ordinate and communicate marketing activities for RGB and each vendor

Reporting: Marketing Manager (TBA), Gordon Innocent for now

Website management

Update all aspects of site – DIY or via Staziker (web developers)

Maximise SEO

Co-ordinate with Product marketing exec update and entry of all product information

Liaise with technical and sales to ensure all relevant information is correct

Obtain and publish case studies

Communication

Design and develop marketing material by vendor o E-shot o Mailshot o Tweet o Blog

Press releases/articles

o Liaise with PR to ensure effective communication both internal and external of current activities o Contribute towards trade press articles

Liaison o Internally of all marketing, events and press activity o Vendor of all marketing, events and press activity

Misc o Updating telephone on hold script monthly o Updating staff email signatures

Vendor relations o Develop and co-ordinate joint marketing initiatives o Manage Marketing Development Funds o Ensure we have up to date logos, marketing material, brochures and catalogues

Exhibitions and Showcases o Plan, schedule and co-ordinate events o Attend set-up and break-down o Design and delivery effective promotion to ensure maximum attendance o Ensure events are within agreed budget o Monitor and feedback results

Materials o Produce brochures o Exhibition materials

Misc o Create and issue customer surveys

Sales Team o Provide sales tools for sales team as required and agreed o Co-ordinate marketing activities in conjunction with sales activities o Attend monthly sales meetings to give marketing update and gather information from sales team o Create/update Keynote company presentation

Job title: Product Marketing Executive

Job purpose: To ensure the efficient and effective marketing of vendor products

Reporting: Managing Director

Key responsibilities:

Costs and Price list

Prepare price list for upload into SAP

Maintain costs and prices spreadsheet on F/Drive

Update website pricing

Update price list with new or discontinued products

Maintain clearance price list

Publish clearance price list weekly

Ensure price lists are accurate and in line with company margin expectations

Product Positioning

Ensure product descriptions are accurate on price lists and website

Ensure products are correctly positioned on website

Develop and maintain competitive analysis on each product line

Vendor Management

Liaise with existing vendors regularly to ascertain: o New product development o End of line products o Price changes o Product USPs

Co-ordinate with new vendors o Price lists o Positioning o USPs o Product descriptions o Competition

Demonstration facility o Liaise with sales and technical to ensure that our demonstration facility is fitted with the latest products from each vendor o Complete stock movement requests for product transactions in and out of demonstration suites o Conduct quarterly stock check on all inventory in demonstration facility in conjunction with Logistics team

Exhibitions and Showcases o Liaise with management team to advise on products for display at events o Prepare relevant paperwork to ensure products are available for events o Complete stock movement requests for events o Ensure all products are checked and returned to stock
