The Constitution Party of NJ has elected Lawrence Berlinski as its new Chair.
Mr. Berlinski is a graduate of Seton Hall University. He is also a veteran, having
served honorably in the United States Navy. Mr. Berlinski is employed at the
Oyster Creek power plant. He, his wife Tina and his two daughters live in Ocean
County.
The other officers elected are Calvin Wortman as Vice Chair, Frank Cottone as
Secretary and Dixie Patterson as Treasurer.
The Platform of the Constitution Party can be found on the website
constitutionparty-nj.org, or follow on facebook. But the core principles of the
party are: Life - For all human being, from conception to natural death; Liberty Freedom of conscience and action for the self-governed individual; Property Each individual’s right to own and steward personal property without government
burden; States’ Rights - The powers not delegated to the US Congress, are
reserved by the States; American Sovereignty - The protection of our borders
and trade; and of course The Constitution of the United States of America Interpreted according to the actual intent of the Founding Fathers.
The mission of the Constitution Party is to secure the blessings of liberty to
ourselves and our posterity through the election, at all levels of government, of
Constitution Party candidates who will uphold the principles of the Declaration of
Independence and the Constitution of the United States. It is our goal to limit the
federal government to its delegated, enumerated, Constitutional functions and to
restore American jurisprudence to its original foundations.
Currently the Party is running a candidate for Sheriff in Hudson County, Anthony
Di Iorio. Mr. Di Iorio is a life long resident of Hudson County and has worked in
both the public and private sectors. Visit diiorioforsheriff.com to find out more
about Mr. Di Iorio and follow him on facebook.
There are many people who are afraid to vote for what they think is an
independent or third party. The argument, and a valid one, is that splitting the
vote would make a more viable candidate lose an election. It is our contention
that in NJ, whether one votes for a Republican or a Democrat, the outcome is the
same, and that we in the Constitution Party offer a true alternative to the norm.
We can’t and won’t claim as many before that we will be elected and “clean up”.
What we will claim is that while in office, we will stick to our principles and that we
will not be corrupted by the party machines that have such a strangle hold on
public office and our hard earned money.
Conservatives have an energized and dedicated grassroots base, some
emerging and engaging leaders and core beliefs based on the fundamental
principles and documents that made this nation great. Without a firm foundation
of principles and effective strategy for messaging - a path for turning our
principles into policy- the whole thing crumbles.
The liberals dominate the mainstream media and moderates have taken control
of the Republican party. The Left has a majority control of the US Senate and
there is no strong Conservative voice in the House of Representatives. I used to
be a Republican, but this is why I felt it was so important to change my affiliation
to the Constitution Party rather than sit quietly and be told that I need to forget
my principles and what made this country great, all in the name of a better image
for the party. Meanwhile moderates and cowards run what used to be the home
of the political conservative movement. The conservative movement works best
when it works from the ground up. We need to hear from you about the top
threats to American prosperity and freedom and to get your ideas for how we can
turn this country around.
We have a $17 trillion (that’s $17,000,000,000,000) debt and an administration
that wants MORE spending and MORE taxes. We have energy independence
under our feet, but the EPA refuses to let us access it. Our enemies continue to
find cracks in our national security, motivated by hate for what this country stands
for, yet our leaders continue to apologize and pander. We are now on the cusp
of another war that has nothing to do with our national interests.
These are all serious threats to our way of life and to the founding principles of
our Republic. They are not going away either. With liberals in control of the
White House and US Senate and the lack of substantive opposition in the House,
they’re only going to get worse.
WE can still save our country, but don’t think THEY and THEM, think I and ME.
WE THE PEOPLE must act.
