Annual Holiday Hamper Fundraising Effort
For the past several years, Westdale’s Triune Student Council, teachers, and
various clubs and classes have supported a number of Westdale families in
need during the holiday season by putting together a “Holiday Hamper.” We
raise money to buy gifts, basic necessities, and food for a family to cook a
beautiful holiday dinner. In the past, we have done bottle drives, bake sales,
and other initiatives to raise money.
Last year, we decided to collect Shopper’s Drug Mart Optimum points from
our friends, families, and neighbours, and experienced tremendous success with everyone’s
generosity with donating their points. We plan to do the same thing this year and need your
help to help us purchase various items for this year’s recipient.
If you are able to generously donate your points, please simply follow the instructions below!
Transferring Shopper’s Drug Mart Optimum Point Instructions
1. Google “Shoppers Optimum” to get to http://www1.shoppersdrugmart.ca/en/optimum
2. Scroll down the page to find the blue button that says ‘Check my account”
3. If you already have an online account set up, please go directly to step 5.
4. If you do not have an online account set up, don’t worry, it’s pretty straightforward:
a. Once you have clicked on ‘Check my account,’ you will be redirected to a page that asks you
to either ‘Sign in to my Optimum’ on the left, or to ‘Create my Online Optimum password’
on the right; please click ‘Create password’ on the right
b. Step 1 asks you to validate your account by entering the last 9 digits on your Optimum card
c. Then you must enter either your birth date, postal code, or security word on the right side
of the page, and then click on ‘Validate account’
d. You will be asked to answer three security questions and to make a password for this
account; this shouldn't take more than 2 minutes
5. You will need to sign in to ‘My Optimum’ by entering the last 9 digits of your Optimum card as
well as your password; then click on ‘Sign in’
6. You will be taken to a page that tells you your current points balance and you will see a chart
telling you how much your points are worth; please decide how many you’d like to donate
7. On the right side of the page, under red ‘Welcome’ banner, please click on ‘Transfer Points’
8. Beside ‘To’ and the numbers 603207, please enter the numbers 879443540
9. Then choose the amount of points you would like to transfer and enter it below
10. Finally, click ‘Submit’
