HISTORY The legacy of Pizza Hut began in 1958, when two college students from Wichita, Kansas, were approached by a family friend with the idea of opening a pizza parlour. THINGS YOU DIDN’T KNOW ABOUT PIZZA HUT Setting up their first restaurant, the two founding brothers realised that the building could only accommodate a signage with space for just nine characters. They wanted to use the word "pizza" in the name, which would leave only enough space for a second word with three letters.
