your child, it must be labeled in an envelope
or baggie.

Tardy Policy
◦ Bell rings at 7:45am.
◦ Classroom door closes.
◦ Children not in the classroom will need to go to
the office to get a tardy slip.
Base Camps
Literacy based groups for grades 2, 3, & 4.
 Teachers host a different camp for a
specific reading skill.

Reading

Accelerated Reading:
◦ Computer based comprehension tests.
◦ The end of the year goal is 25 points.
 1st 2nd & 3rd Marking Period Goals: 6 points
 4th Marking Period Goal: 7 points
Reading

Pizza Hut Book It!:
◦ Free incentive program in which your child
must read 20 minutes 4 nights per week to
receive a coupon for a free personal pan pizza
to Pizza Hut.
◦ Monthly goal calendars will be sent home
October – March and must be signed and
returned each month.
Combine this program with Accelerated
Reading!!

Scholastic Reading Club (“Book Club”)
