Earthworm Diagram
Write the definition or purpose of each Earthworm body part.
1. Anterior – The “head” end of a worm
2. Mouth – Where worms take in their food
3. Crop – Storage compartment for food
4. Gizzard – Where a worm’s food is ground up
5. 5 Hearts – Pump blood through blood vessels through a worm’s body
6. Clitellum – Helps form cocoons during a worm’s reproductive process
that results in baby worms.
7. Segments – “rings” that make up a worm’s body
8. Setae – microscopic bristles on the outside of a worm’s body
9. Posterior – The “rear-end” part of a worm
10. Anus – Where valuable worm poop – called “castings” – comes out!
